We are currently looking for a dog walker and pet sitter who can service the valley area, mainly south of Sepulveda such as Sherman Oaks and Studio City, but there will also be opportunities with other clients throughout Los Angeles, depending on the services you choose to offer. <<< JOB SUMMARY We are always seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who share our same philosophy on empathetic pet care to join our team. As a BFF Buddy, you’re more than a dog walker — you’re a consistent, caring presence in a pet’s routine and a friendly face for residents in the community. This role is ideal for students or part-time workers who love animals, enjoy flexible hours, and want to work in a relaxed, respectful environment with everyday client interaction. BFF Buddies can choose which pet care services they want to provide, including drop-ins, walks, and in-home or boarded pet sitting. RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete service reports, including photos and/or videos of their pets' activities in the Time to Pet app Provide exceptional pet care, maintaining routines and ensuring pets' comfort Follow specific care instructions for each pet Be punctual, reliable, and respectful at all times. Work independently and problem-solve on the go Be friendly, respectful, and professional around senior clients and community residents (For dog walks): Provide enriching walks throughout the parent’s neighborhood (For drop-ins): Visit pet's home and provide mental enrichment, potty breaks, meals, and/or medication upon request (For in-home pet sitting) Stay in clients’ homes overnight for extended periods to provide companionship and care (For boarding) Be able to host pets overnight in your home, live in a walkable area, and pass a home inspection Communicate clearly with our team via text and the Time to Pet app SKILLS: Ability to engage in physical activities, including handling animals and walking for an average of 30m per walk Handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments, demonstrating confidence and patience Strong customer service mindset to ensure clients’ needs and expectations are met REQUIREMENTS: A genuine animal lover with a strong commitment to the well-being of pets Be 18 years or older Proven experience in handling dogs A reliable car for transportation A smartphone for scheduling, communication, and client updates Must be willing to undergo a background check for the safety of our clients and their pets PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in doggy daycare or veterinary clinic CPR certification Volunteer work in dog rescues or shelters Social media skills for pet content Other relevant animal care certifications COMPENSATION 1099 contractor, paid weekly per service 30% booking fee for same-day services Pet sitting rates based on experience
