Job Description Golden Coast Finance | JohnHart Real Estate Family of Companies JohnHart Real Estate operates 15 offices with over 600 agents dedicated to helping clients buy and sell homes across California. As part of this ecosystem, Golden Coast Finance serves as our in-house lending team, currently made up of 9 highly committed professionals, including 5 loan officers. We are expanding the leadership structure to support rapid growth, increase capture rate, and strengthen the operational performance of our lending division. We are looking for a senior leader who is driven, strategic, and committed to raising production standards while delivering an exceptional client experience. This role is central to aligning sales, operations, and growth, ensuring every borrower, agent, and partner receives a level of service that reflects the standards of the JohnHart organization. Role Overview The Mortgage Branch Manager oversees all sales activity, loan production, staff performance, and operational workflows across Golden Coast Finance. This leader manages the full pipeline, drives revenue growth, ensures operational efficiency, and builds a culture of accountability, communication, and consistent execution. Duties & Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Growth • Lead, develop, and coach all loan officers to increase production volume, conversion ratios, and referral relationships., • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly sales expectations and accountability metrics., • Oversee pipeline activity, forecasting, and performance across all loan officers., • Build strong relationships with JohnHart agents to increase capture rate and internal cross-company collaboration., • Evaluate and onboard new products, programs, and wholesale lenders., • Lead expansion efforts into new loan programs (Non-QM, DSCR, P&L, HELOCs, etc.). Operational Oversight • Manage all day-to-day lending operations, including processing, underwriting coordination, and loan fulfillment., • Oversee staff performance, workloads, workflow distribution, and department communication., • Ensure efficient use of Arrive and other systems, optimizing speed, accuracy, and borrower experience., • Improve turn times, clean conditions, and the overall quality of submissions., • Create, refine, and enforce operational SOPs that support scale and consistency., • Work closely with escrow, title, real estate agents, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication from application to closing. Client & Partner Experience • Set the standard for borrower communication, responsiveness, and professionalism., • Ensure all client questions, needs, and concerns are handled promptly and accurately., • Maintain high satisfaction scores from borrowers, agents, and internal partners., • Strengthen communication with escrow and title to reduce delays and increase efficiency. Compliance & Quality Control • Ensure full compliance with state and federal lending regulations, including TILA/RESPA, Reg Z, CFPB guidelines, privacy laws, and investor requirements., • Maintain oversight of all documentation, disclosures, and loan file accuracy., • Monitor risk, escalate issues, and maintain clean audits across lending activities. Experience & Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage lending., • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role, overseeing sales, processing, or mortgage operations., • Strong understanding of loan products, income analysis, underwriting requirements, and lending guidelines., • Proficient with LOS systems (Arrive preferred), CRM platforms, and pipeline management tools., • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team., • Deep knowledge of compliance requirements including RESPA, TILA/Reg Z, privacy laws, and general mortgage regulatory practices.
