We are looking for enthusiastic, supportive, and reliable support staff to provide an engaging, inclusive, and positive experience for children with special needs. This role involves assisting the Summer Camp Teacher in executing a dynamic curriculum for participants ages 6-22, helping to implement activities across various subject areas, including but not limited to: art, science, sports, life skills, music/movement, and more. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to supporting each camper’s success and personal growth. Position Details: • Schedule: Part-Time, Summer Session, • Camp Orientation: Saturday, June 6 from 9:00 to 1:00pm, • Camp Sessions: June 8th,2025to July 2ND, 2026 (30 hours/week), • August 3RD, 2025 to August 7th, 2025 (30 hours/week), • Assist in implementing the curriculum for special needs individuals, supporting a variety of subjects such as art, science, life skills, sports, and more., • Provide small ratio support and supervision to campers as needed., • Facilitate small group activities, offering guidance and encouragement as needed., • Help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all campers feel supported., • Support the Teacher in creating a structured, organized, and safe environment., • Foster a nurturing, collaborative atmosphere., • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education, child development, or related fields is a plus., • Prior experience working with special needs children or in a camp setting is a plus., • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from the Camp Teacher., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children., • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling., • Must be able to commit to at least one full week of camp., • Ability to assist with the physical and emotional needs of participants. The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of The Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
