Job Description • Develop, lead and maintain activities programs for Assisted Living Residents and Reflections Program Residents. Lead programs within both Assisted Living and Reflections neighborhoods on a routine basis in accordance with organizational standards, maintain a daily presence in both neighborhoods and familiarity with all residents., • Support Residents in continuing with interests, hobbies and activities that they have previously pursued., • Offer new opportunities to enhance their lives with new learning experiences, including but not limited to, the learning of new crafts, dramatic club, choral groups, discussion groups, and new avenues for self-expression., • Plan and coordinate outings of any conceivable type, i.e., art galleries, theatre, music, racetracks, spiritual, and cultural programs., • Provide consistent activity within the community that will foster the expansion of friendships., • Assist Residents in the formation of various clubs and organizations and interest groups, thus generating opportunities for leadership and involvement in the workings of the community., • Plan a monthly calendar of events for Residents that includes on-going diversified activities that meet the religious, social, emotional, educational and recreational needs of the Residents and meet the organization’s programmatic standards., • Coordinate Resident monies for special activities and events planned and run by the Programming Department., • Write and edit a monthly newsletter, copies of which will be provided to each Resident and appropriate staff. Job Description Trauma Counselor Summary: Safe Horizon’s Safe Way forward program provides comprehensive trauma-informed client-centered services to families who are affected by intimate partner violence and are involved in the child welfare system. Our goal is help those who have experienced physical, emotional or other forms of abuse to establish long-term safety and healing from the effects of trauma. Safe Horizon uses a client centered, trauma informed, anti-oppressive approach to supporting clients. Safe Horizon recognizes that families who have experienced intimate partner violence may want to or need to stay in contact with the person causing harm in the family. The Safe Way forward program (SWF) was designed to engage family members with support to assist in healing and explore ways for families to maintain contact where safe to do so. In this model, all participating members of the family are considered clients (survivor, person causing harm, and their children). Hybrid schedule: 2 days on site, 3 days remote. Knowledge Road is seeking a full-time Licensed Psychologist to join our team and provide critical psychological services to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. With an unprecedented need for mental health support in schools and a significant shortage of qualified professionals, your skills are urgently needed to help students navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges.
