Job Description Job Summary: The Parts Advisor sells at retail or wholesale, parts to all available customers, over the counter, through the shop or on the phone. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties as assigned) Specific to Front Counter: • Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, • Pull purchased parts from stock., • If the part is not in stock, determine availability and submit an emergency order if requested by the customer and premium is paid., • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information., • Assist outside sales representatives with their orders., • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up., • Verify “will call” and “back order” files weekly and return to vendors, or stock those items not required within required time limit., • Solicit assigned accounts by phone., • Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in progress., • Make sure all parts are handed out to technicians are charged to repair orders., • Order parts not in stock, after discussion with Shop Foreman, it is determined that parts are needed and will be used upon receipt or that the customer will return for the required repairs., • Notify the Service Advisor and customer that ordered parts have been received., • Answer the parts phone promptly and courteously., • Ensure that before parts can be charged out, the Technician presents a duplicate copy of the repair order., • High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED), • One year of experience in the automotive parts department., • One year of sales experience., • Communication and interpersonal skills., • Time-management and organizational abilities., • Automotive sales and customer service knowledge., • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities., • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information., • Ability to work well with customers and perform under stress. Minimum Qualifications: • Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States., • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in infusion therapy or related clinical settings., • Strong knowledge of IVIG therapy, immunology basics, and patient monitoring techniques., • Experience specifically administering IVIG infusions in outpatient or hospital settings., • Advanced certifications such as Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI)., • Experience working with patients with immunodeficiency disorders or autoimmune diseases., • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and infusion documentation software., • Prepare and administer IVIG infusions according to established protocols and physician orders., • Monitor patients continuously during infusion for any signs of adverse reactions or complications and respond promptly as needed., • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of infusion procedures, patient responses, and any interventions performed., • Educate patients and their families on IVIG therapy, including preparation, potential side effects, and post-infusion care instructions., • Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly., • Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety regulations during all infusion procedures., • Manage inventory and proper storage of IVIG products and related supplies. The IVIG Infusion Nurse utilizes clinical skills to safely prepare and administer intravenous immunoglobulin treatments, ensuring patient safety through vigilant monitoring and timely intervention. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential for recognizing and managing infusion-related reactions or complications. Effective communication skills are employed daily to educate patients and their families, fostering understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
