Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE The Speech Pathologist will provide high-quality, compassionate care to children and adults with speech, language, voice, communication, and swallowing disorders. A strong emphasis is placed on pediatric therapy, including early intervention and specialized treatment for children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, articulation challenges, and feeding difficulties. Services are delivered both in person and via telemedicine, offering flexibility and accessibility to patients and families. This position also includes the supervision and mentorship of graduate students, interns, and other healthcare professionals pursuing a degree or certification in Speech-Language Pathology. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, interdisciplinary teamwork, and advancing HHM Health’s mission of equitable, family-centered care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric and adult patients presenting with speech, language, fluency, voice, resonance, cognitive-communication, or swallowing concerns., • Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, developmental level, and patient/family goals., • Provide specialized pediatric therapy for conditions such as developmental speech and language delays, autism spectrum and social communication disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, pediatric feeding and swallowing difficulties, and early intervention with parent coaching., • Deliver adult therapy services for individuals with voice, speech, or swallowing challenges secondary to stroke, neurological conditions, or trauma., • Offer therapy in both in-person and telemedicine formats to ensure accessibility and continuity of care., • Ability to supervise and mentor graduate-level speech pathology students and other healthcare professionals, fostering clinical growth and evidence-based practice., • Collaborate with pediatricians, adult medicine providers, behavioral health clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care., • Maintain accurate documentation in the eClinicalWorks consistent with ASHA, HHM Health, and state guidelines., • Educate patients, caregivers, and families to promote understanding, engagement, and successful carryover of therapy goals at home., • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution., • Current Texas license is to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist., • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required or eligible., • Minimum of two years’ experience providing pediatric therapy services preferred; experience with adult populations desired., • Prior experience supervising graduate students, clinical fellows, or interns preferred., • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills. • Part-time or Full-time, • Ability to provide both in-person and telemedicine services WHAT WE OFFER At HHM Health, the health and well-being of our employees matters just as much as that of our patients.
