Responsible for managing end-to-end aircraft interior projects within an MRO environment. This includes customer communication, project planning, resource coordination, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. The role requires a strong understanding of aircraft cabin systems (seating, monuments, IFEC, soft goods, etc.), FAA/EASA regulations, and experience in program or project management. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the activities of the Interior Department to minimize delays and increase production and efficiencies., • Be familiar with, and make available, all necessary technical drawings, engineering data, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and any other applicable technical data., • Responsible for ascertaining that the appropriate personnel properly execute all necessary work records., • Responsible for the preservation and proper handling of all parts and materials during process through the Interior Department., • Provide excellent customer service to potential and existing customers, putting the customer- needs first and ensuring that their needs are met., • Effectively collect and present quotes, miscellaneous pricing and final billing information to customers., • Continually check status of customer aircraft and advise customers of current status and upcoming work that may be needed., • Ensure that all written communications needed to effectively communicate with customers is sent in a timely manner., • Coordinate completion dates between various steps of any major installation or modification., • Provide leadership to the Interior Department, • Lead and manage aircraft interior modification or refurbishment programs from initiation to delivery., • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables., • Ensure alignment with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards., • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during program execution., • Provide regular updates, address concerns, and manage customer expectations., • Ensure that all interior modifications or repairs are carried out in accordance with FAA, EASA, and OEM standards., • Coordinate with certification teams for STCs, DER approvals, or other regulatory requirements. Supervisory Accountabilities: • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred., • Technical training in aviation field., • Education to meet licenses required 5-7 years in aircraft interiors preferred., • Must be able to read and speak English., • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions., • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl., • Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching., • Frequent exposure to general shop conditions, engine noise., • Frequent exposure to aircraft exhaust, moving mechanical parts, lubricants, metals, and solvents., • Competitive salary with performance-based incentives., • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plans., • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
