Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob Description Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for the 2nd shift. This role involves managing the accurate records of items shipped and received while ensuring that all outgoing shipments are packaged safely and reliably. Responsibilities • Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received., • Oversee safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments., • Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures., • Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet schedules., • Review all international shipment documentation for compliance with applicable standards., • Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers., • Responsible for effective record keeping, filing, and other administrative duties as required., • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents., • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor., • Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Basic math and reading skills., • Strong written and oral communication skills., • Basic computer skills., • Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and plant personnel., • Ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience., • Warehouse experience with forklift, packing.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Associate degree preferred., • Knowledge of metals handling for proper staging, processing, packaging, and shipping., • First aid and CPR training., • Exposure to SAP, safety programs, ISO standards.
