Job DescriptionDescription: POSITION FUNCTION: Responsible for performing multiple Materials Control activities to assure the timely and efficient delivery, retrieval, storage and tracking of production materials within Johnson & Quin. Under the guidance of the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will prioritize work assignments, prepare departmental documentation, input data into the Materials Management module of Monarch System. Also communicates with other internal departments and outside trucking vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery and retrieval of materials. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Communicates with the S&R Supervisor to determine priority work assignments for the shift., • Schedules daily outbound mail pick-up through various freight providers., • Accurately and efficiently processes incoming materials and returns to stock and enters daily postal report jobs through use of Monarch. Verifies incoming materials with the bill of lading or packing slip to assure counts, identification of components of shipment, quality of shipment, etc.; utilizes scales and weight verification process to log counts; and enters materials into Monarch producing bar coded skid flags and reports as necessary.
