Job Description Job Summary The Capital Sourcing Specialist is responsible for negotiating and managing the purchase of capital equipment and related services across the healthcare network. This role partners closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive cost savings, support large-scale projects, and ensure procurement compliance. Capital Sourcing Specialist Location: Edison, NJ Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Start Date: 6+ months Job Type: Contract | 40 hours per week Compensation: $30 – $32 per hour (W2) Responsibilities * Negotiate and manage contracts for capital equipment and services. * Utilize PeopleSoft Financials and related automation tools for procurement. * Analyze supplier/category spend data using Google tools. * Source and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers. * Meet with supplier representatives and conduct performance reviews. * Review GPO contracts for capital purchase savings opportunities. * Support departments with supplier selection, contract negotiations, and RFPs. * Prepare RFPs, bid summaries, and vendor analyses. * Partner with planners, consultants, architects, and departments on expansion projects. * Maintain project equipment tracking spreadsheets; ensure timely ordering. * Track and report cost-saving initiatives on a regular basis. * Collaborate with Legal, Biomed, and Accounts Payable on contracts. * Ensure contract execution and maintenance in the management system. * Identify substitute products during recalls or shortages. * Manage liquidation of surplus/obsolete equipment. * Support Healthy Hospitals Initiatives when applicable. * Adhere to organizational standards and competencies. Requirements * Education: Bachelor’s degree (Business concentration preferred). * Certification: Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) — at hire or within 12 months. * Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement. * Strong project management, organization, and time management skills. * Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. * Ability to travel as needed.
