Job DescriptionDescription: JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse as a CST or the Physician as a Frist Assist, assists in the treatment and care of patients in the Operating Room. Provides assistance to the Operating Room team by scrubbing for surgical procedures, in accordance to the established policies and procedures for the Surgery Center. The responsibility includes the preparation, assembly and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the surgical intervention. Job Responsibilities • Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety., • Process digital images in accordance with standardized procedures, • Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures., • Operate C arm in procedure room for spinal injections, kyphoplasty procedures, etc, • Explain x-ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff., • Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by Physician, PA-C, or ARNP., • Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations., • Log completed radiological procedures., • Identify and file reports as required., • Maintain x-ray room, stock necessary radiological supplies., • Current AART Certification, • 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technician/ X-ray
