Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CVOR Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 07/21/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Details • Job Title: CVOR Tech (Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist), • Specialty: Surgical Services (Cardiovascular), • Term: 13-Week Contract, • Start Date: 07/21/2026 (July Start), • Shift: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour (06:30 – 17:00), • Weekend & On-Call Policy: 1 on-call shift per week and 1 full weekend of call/coverage per month.Role & Clinical Overview: We are seeking an experienced and adaptable CVOR / Surgical Technologist to join a high-volume surgical services department. The surgical department features 23 operating rooms and 1 procedure room, performing elective and emergency surgeries for both adult and pediatric patients. Key Responsibilities & Scope • Surgical Specialties: Support complex surgical procedures across Vascular, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Robotics, and General Surgery lines., • Specialized Procedures: Assist with high-acuity cases including:, • Cardiovascular/Vascular: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), TAVR, Mitral Valve Replacement, AAA repair, EVAR, Carotid Endarterectomy, and Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD)., • Thoracic & Robotics: VATS, lung resections, mediastinoscopies, and cardiothoracic robotic surgeries utilizing the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System., • Clinical Equipment: Competently manage cell savers, specialized surgical drills, electrosurgical units, laser safety protocols, and fiber optic scopes/light sources., • General Floating: Must be willing to float and assist with general surgical procedures during lower-volume CVOR periods.Position Requirements Licensure & Certifications • State Licensure: Active New York State surgical technologist registration/license is required in hand at the time of submission (no exceptions)., • Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Experience & Skills, • Minimum Experience: 2 to 3 years of recent experience in a high-volume, busy CVOR setting is required to screen., • Travel Experience: Prior travel experience is required., • Clinical Preferences: Prior experience in Trauma Level I or Level II settings is highly preferred., • Charting System: Epic proficiency is a hard requirement; candidates must be able to document and navigate the system independently.
