Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Worker – Roll Forming Department Job Description This role focuses on operating roll forming equipment to manufacture gutter downspouts in a busy industrial production environment. You will set up and run a roll former, inspect parts for quality, package finished products, and move materials safely and efficiently. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, comfort working with machinery and hand tools, and a commitment to safety and quality on every shift. Responsibilities • Operate a roll former to manufacture gutter down pipe according to production specifications and safety procedures., • Set up, monitor, and adjust machine settings to maintain proper RAM pressure and ensure consistent product quality., • Perform visual inspections of finished parts and verify dimensions using a tape measure to confirm they meet quality standards., • Assemble boxes for finished products, place parts into boxes, and apply accurate shipping labels., • Close and secure boxes and stack them neatly on pallets to prepare for shipment., • Use a pallet jack to move finished product pallets safely from the production area to the warehouse., • Handle materials and components throughout the production process while maintaining a clean and organized work area., • Use hand tools as needed to support machine operation, minor adjustments, and basic troubleshooting., • Follow all safety policies and procedures and remain alert to potential hazards around roll forming, metal rolling, and metal stamping equipment., • Work proactively to keep production running smoothly, communicate issues promptly, and support team goals and production targets., • Complete basic math tasks related to measurements, counts, and documentation as part of daily production activities.Essential Skills, • Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment., • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for quality checks and measurements., • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery and hand tools., • Ability to understand and work with RAM pressure on roll forming or similar equipment., • Basic math skills and the ability to pass a basic math test., • Experience performing visual quality inspections to identify defects or nonconforming parts., • Experience with material handling, including moving products and materials safely., • Ability to work proactively as a self-starter and maintain a strong work ethic in a production setting.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in metal rolling or metal stamping environments., • Familiarity with packaging and labeling processes in a manufacturing facility., • Comfort working in a large, industrial, non-climate-controlled environment., • Willingness to work overtime as needed, typically 8–10 hours per week., • Ability to collaborate effectively with production team members and leadership.Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a clean, industrial roll forming plant within a large manufacturing complex. The facility is not climate controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons. You will work around roll forming, metal rolling, and metal stamping equipment and use tools such as pallet jacks, hand tools, and measuring devices like tape measures. The schedule runs Monday through Friday on a day shift, with regular opportunities for 8–10 hours of overtime per week. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with clear procedures and expectations to ensure safe and efficient production. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
