Position Summary: The Millwright is responsible for maintaining and repairing all rotating equipment across the site. This includes industrial machinery such as pumps, agitators, compressors, conveyor belts, motors, and specialty equipment. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Overtime may occasionally be required, particularly during major equipment issues or plant turnarounds. After an initial training period, the employee will be included in an on-call rotation, which will be explained once familiarity with the site has been established. This position is part of the Maintenance Team and reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities: • Utilize SAP to review equipment history, generate and print Work Orders, access Bills of Materials, and locate stocked parts., • Complete all required Work Order documentation, including history, time confirmation, variance codes, job plans, and related forms., • Install, align, and maintain rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, agitators, rotary valves, and centrifuges., • Perform pump and seal repairs, impeller clearance adjustments, motor-to-gearbox alignments, and precision fit measurements., • Conduct preventive maintenance on all rotating equipment to ensure reliability and performance., • Provide support during plant turnarounds, including weekend and after-hours work when required., • Assist other local Eval facilities as needed., • Actively participate in Kuraray safety programs and follow all safety procedures., • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required., • Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial, construction, or maintenance settings; at least 3 years as a Journeyman preferred., • Strong knowledge and experience with reverse and laser alignment, dial indicators, mechanical seals (including tandem seals and compression packing), bearings, metals, multi-stage and vertical pumps, couplings, cooling tower fan units, gearboxes, agitators, centrifugal compressors, and related rotating equipment., • Ability to operate machine shop equipment; knowledge of hydraulic and IRD readings., • Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems for accessing specifications and drawings; SAP experience required., • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs., • Physically capable of standing for extended periods (up to 4 hours), climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing frequent bending, crouching, twisting, crawling, kneeling, and squatting., • Ability to work safely in PPE including acid suits, vapor suits, hot suits, and respirators; capable of working in confined spaces., • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and assume leadership responsibilities when needed., • Strong problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities., • Capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously., • Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
