Job DescriptionSalary: $72,000.00 - $74,000.00 New Beginnings Detox & Recovery is excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Primary Therapist for our detox and residential program! We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and specialize in the detoxification and treatment of substance abuse, as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. As a Primary Therapist, you will play a key role in guiding clients through some of the most challenging stages of their recovery journey. This position is crucial to ensuring our clients achieve lasting progress, empowering them to develop the skills, strategies, and resilience needed to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Working in collaboration of compassionate professionals, you will provide individual and group therapy, create personalized treatment plans, and foster a safe and supportive environment where healing can begin. Qualifications: • Masters degree in psychology or a related field preferred, • Must hold a valid Certification or State License to practice in California, • Ability to assist physically and mentally during emergencies, • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and appropriate documentation, • Must have a current TB screen, Health Screening, and CPR/First Aid Certification Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide direct care to clients through daily group and individual therapy sessions., • Actively engage family members, external providers, or other relevant parties in the treatment process, pending appropriate consent. Maintain regular communication with these parties to provide updates and address any questions promptly., • Complete progress notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) on the same day as the service is provided to ensure the client's chart remains up-to-date., • Coordinate and arrange comprehensive services for clients, including psychological, medical, psychiatric, vocational, housing, legal, case management, and recreational activities. Ensure and document that coordinated care is effectively provided., • Monitor client attendance and ensure clients participate in all scheduled services unless clinically excused or in detox status., • Ensure clients adhere to the daily schedule, and sessions start and end on time., • Review and approve client and visitor pass requests for assigned clients., • Address and resolve client behavioral issues promptly, and document the outcomes., • Respond promptly to any concerns or grievances from clients, family members, referral parties, or external providers. Report complaints and subsequent actions to the CEO., • Ensure appropriate discharge planning is carried out, documented, and communicated to the client, including providing community resources., • Be available for crisis management and handle clinical emergencies as needed., • Deliver exceptional clinical hospitality and customer service to all clients., • Respond promptly to communications from upper management and keep the Clinical Director informed about clinical updates, insurance authorizations, concerns, and emergencies., • Provide strong clinical leadership and support to the team., • Maintain a positive, supportive, and therapeutic attitude., • Adhere to the established line of authority and organizational structure., • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
