Job Description Uncommon Schools is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician (Snr HVAC Tech) to join the charter network’s New Jersey Facilities team. This position provides an opportunity for an experienced HVAC technician with at least seven (7) years' relevant experience to work with a dedicated facilities group, deepen his/her technical skills, and help ensure that Uncommon provides well-maintained, comfortable, and safe educational facilities for our students and staff. Uncommon’s portfolio in New Jersey comprises buildings constructed from the very early 1900s through the early 2020s, operating HVAC systems dating from 1966 to the recent past few years. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Facilities Management Team, the HVAC Service Technician will perform all technical work necessary to inspect, maintain, repair, and modify HVAC system in our buildings. With expertise in HVAC – and to a lesser extent in construction and plumbing – in multi-family, schools, and commercial buildings, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting minor HVAC projects and managing larger ones and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. How You’ll Make an Impact: * Deliver expert service and support for cooling tower cleaning and water disinfection * Provide technical support and escalate complex challenges as needed * Build strong relationships with customers and promote best practices * Ensure full compliance with safety policies and procedures * Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts * Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts to execute agreed upon customer system assurance plans * Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer pain points, escalating as required * Execute cooling tower cleaning, treatment, and large-scale water disinfection * Operate power washers, industrial vacuums, and basic hand/power tools to complete service tasks Position Details: * Location: New York City, NY * Travel Radius: NYC Metro area. 50-mile radius from Queens. * Work week and Shift requirements: 7:00am-3:00pm. Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The pay range for this position is $46,300 - $69,500.
