Job Description Position Summary AdvoCare is seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to serve as a strategic business partner to the Chief Financial Officer, executive leadership team, and cross-functional business leaders. This role will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, executive reporting, and business analytics while partnering closely with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial results. The FP&A Manager will translate financial and operational data into actionable insights that support growth, profitability, cash flow, and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years of progressive FP&A experience, including significant experience supporting a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. Experience within nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, consumer packaged goods (CPG), eCommerce, or an entrepreneurial/startup environment is strongly preferred. This position is well suited for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-moving organization, building and improving processes, navigating ambiguity, and balancing strategic analysis with hands-on execution. Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Forecasting • Partner with the CFO, Controller, and business leaders to lead the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes., • Lead the development and ongoing management of rolling monthly forecasts., • Develop and maintain integrated Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow models., • Build scalable, driver-based financial models that reflect key DTC and consumer business drivers., • Forecast revenue by product, customer segment, sales channel, promotion, and other relevant business drivers., • Partner with department leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, headcount plans, and operating assumptions., • Evaluate forecast performance and improve the accuracy of financial and operational projections., • Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve revenue, profitability, and cash flow., • Develop scenario and sensitivity models to support strategic decisions in a rapidly changing business environment. DTC and Commercial Analytics • Analyze DTC revenue drivers, including traffic, conversion, average order value, customer acquisition, retention, repeat purchase behavior, and promotional performance., • Evaluate customer acquisition cost (CAC), customer lifetime value (LTV), return on ad spend (ROAS), contribution margin, and channel profitability., • Partner with Marketing and Sales to assess marketing investments, customer economics, promotional strategies, product performance, and growth opportunities., • Analyze profitability by product, SKU, customer segment, promotion, and sales channel., • Evaluate pricing, discounting, product mix, gross margin, and promotional effectiveness., • Monitor customer and order trends to identify changes in demand, purchasing behavior, and financial performance., • Develop financial models and business cases for new products, marketing initiatives, technology investments, and strategic growth opportunities. Financial Reporting • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reporting packages., • Develop clear executive dashboards and KPI reporting that connect financial results to operational performance., • Prepare Board of Directors presentations and supporting financial analyses., • Perform detailed variance analysis against Budget, Forecast, Prior Year, and Strategic Plan., • Provide meaningful commentary on business performance, key drivers, emerging trends, risks, and opportunities., • Present financial results and actionable recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional partners., • Translate complex financial information into concise, business-focused insights for nonfinancial stakeholders. Business Partnership • Serve as a trusted financial partner to Marketing, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Human Resources, and other business functions., • Partner closely with Accounting and the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment between actual results and forecasts., • Support the month-end close process through financial analysis, accrual support, variance explanations, and management commentary., • Work with Supply Chain and Operations to analyze inventory levels, product costs, purchasing needs, working capital, and potential inventory risks., • Build strong relationships with department leaders and help them understand the financial impact of business decisions. Process Improvement and Scalability • Improve and automate recurring financial reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes., • Build practical FP&A tools and processes that can scale as the organization grows., • Enhance financial models, dashboards, management reports, and data accessibility., • Establish consistent financial planning assumptions, reporting standards, and performance measures., • Improve financial data quality in partnership with Accounting, IT, and other functional teams., • Champion FP&A best practices while remaining flexible and responsive to changing business priorities., • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve the speed, accuracy, and usefulness of financial information. Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field., • 5–8 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related financial planning experience., • Demonstrated experience supporting a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business, including a strong understanding of DTC revenue drivers and customer economics., • Experience supporting executive leadership in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, or evolving business environment., • Strong understanding of the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, and working capital., • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, executive reporting, and KPI development., • Experience analyzing DTC and commercial performance metrics such as CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion, retention, average order value, gross margin, and contribution margin., • Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including complex financial modeling, advanced formulas, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, dashboards, and scalable driver-based models., • Ability to build financial processes and models with limited structure or established precedent., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to move between detailed analysis and broader business strategy., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to executive and nonfinancial audiences., • High level of ownership, adaptability, organization, and attention to detail. Preferred • Experience within nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, health and wellness, CPG, consumer products, or retail., • Experience working in a startup, high-growth, private-equity-backed, founder-led, or entrepreneurial business environment., • Experience supporting an omnichannel business with DTC, eCommerce, retail, marketplace, subscription, or recurring-revenue channels., • Experience with inventory planning, product-level profitability, SKU economics, supply chain finance, or working-capital management., • MBA, CPA, or CFA., • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning and analysis software., • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or a similar business intelligence tool., • Experience automating financial reporting and analytical processes., • Experience preparing materials for Boards of Directors, investors, or executive leadership teams.Why Join AdvoCare?
