Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Associate Job Description This role focuses on general production work within the Weeding department, ensuring pressed letters, numbers, and nameplates are cleanly separated from the outer layer of scrap and prepared for use on garments and graphic transfers. You will perform a mix of entry-level production, inspection, and packing tasks while developing core competencies across multiple areas of the production process. As business needs change, you will support different production activities, maintain accurate records, and uphold quality and safety standards on the production floor. Responsibilities • Ensure pressed letters, numbers, and nameplates are freed from the outer layer of scrap in the Weeding department with accuracy and care., • Perform entry-level production tasks, including basic production operations, inspection, and packing of garments and graphic transfers., • Conduct quality inspection of garments and graphic transfers to confirm they meet established standards., • Press decorative components onto garments as part of the decorating process., • Count and pack garments and transfers accurately to fulfill production orders., • Follow job operating procedures and guidelines consistently to maintain product quality and process reliability., • Accurately and correctly complete hourly production record-keeping sheets., • Accurately and correctly complete quality records and documentation as required., • Use tools such as craft picker hand tools, scales, rulers, and t-shirt ruler guides to support production and inspection tasks., • Perform manual activities related to the movement and storage of products, materials, pallets, and workstation supplies., • Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks in a safe and controlled manner., • Learn and operate application machines and printing equipment as training and production needs require., • Develop the ability to work in other areas of production and support cross-training initiatives., • Assist and support other job functions and team members as needed to meet production goals., • Follow all safety guidelines and requirements, including consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)., • Maintain a clean and organized production area by performing general housekeeping duties., • Adhere to company cell phone policies while on the production floor., • Follow attendance policies and maintain reliable, consistent attendance to support production schedules. Essential Skills • Previous manufacturing experience in a production, general labor, or general production environment., • Experience with manufacturing quality processes or inspection activities., • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly during the shift., • Comfort working with production tools such as craft picker hand tools, scales, rulers, and t-shirt ruler guides., • Ability to operate or learn to operate pallet jacks and hand trucks safely., • Capability to learn and operate application machines and printing equipment., • Strong attention to detail for accurate inspection, counting, packing, and record keeping., • Ability to follow written and verbal job operating procedures and guidelines., • Willingness and flexibility to work in different areas of production as core competencies develop., • Commitment to following all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and company policies, including attendance and cell phone use. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in garment production is a plus., • Prior manufacturing quality experience beyond basic inspection is an advantage., • Experience working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment., • Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team., • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills., • Openness to cross-training and expanding skills across multiple production functions. Work Environment This is a manufacturing and production environment focused on materials and solutions for branding, packaging, and identification. Work takes place in a production facility where you will handle garments, graphic transfers, labels, and related materials, using tools such as craft picker hand tools, scales, rulers, t-shirt ruler guides, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. You may also learn to operate application machines and printing equipment as part of your role. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday, with a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans, slacks, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies, while requiring steel-toed boots or sneakers for safety. Baggy clothing and loose or hanging jewelry are not permitted to maintain a safe working environment. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety guidelines and PPE requirements, creating a structured and safety-conscious workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
