Job Description Program Summary The Unaccompanied Children Program provides long term and transitional residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, ORR, our program provides a safe and nurturing environment for youth in a Basic Shelter program in residences located in the greater New York, as well as in Foster Homes in our Transitional Foster Care Program. In all programs, we provide therapeutic and educational services and other supports that youth need to achieve success through an array of strength-based and targeted interventions as well as link them with family members and/or other sponsors in the United States so they can move forward with their lives and thrive. Position Overview: The Manager of Clinical Services reports to the VP of Clinical, Case Management and Educational Services and is responsible to Oversee the Clinical Services of the program to ensure compliance in all ORR policies, procedures and reunification expectations always incorporating best practices of effectiveness and quality. Job Description The Unaccompanied Children Program provides long term and transitional residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, ORR, our program provides a safe and nurturing environment for youth in a Basic Shelter program located at our licensed residential facilities as well as a Transitional Foster Care program in foster homes in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Westchester. Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION Under the direction of the supervising Assistant Director of Nursing in Community Care, provides community-based professional nursing care to patients in group and private homes, as well as those without housing across New York City. Diagnoses and treats responses to actual or potential health problems by means of nursing methods and techniques such as case-finding, health teaching, health counseling and the provision of care supportive to and restorative of life and well-being. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the patient’s plan of care. Provides direct skilled nursing care and observes and instructs the patient in their place of residence.
