THESE HITS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE CONTRACT CANCELLATION. suites/labs: 3 Rooms, a 4th currently being built (set to be complete in March). Hybrid OR room, nurses also go to CT, Ultrasound and MRI for procedures and sedations. #cases per day on average: 17 for Cath Labs, 22-23 including all other areas and procedures. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Vascular, Neuro, EP, Cardiology, IR, Cath Lab - Cath lab: diagnostic and intervention, rotablator and shockwave. Next year will have impella. Diagnostic right hearts to prep for structural at other facilities. - IR: ports, G tubes, drains, nephrostomies, biliary drains. Embolizations and coiling are a lot less frequent. Dialysis lines common. Other lines. - EP: ablations, device implantation, temporary pacemakers, Anesthesia is on every EP case. (EP staff will cover EP cases, travelers will only assist if skills validated by manager). Job Duties: Procedure nurses will circulate and monitor patients, may float to CT, Ultrasound or MRI to assist with procedures in other radiological areas. Recovery Nurses will recover in the 17 bed post-procedure area. Bone marrow aspiration, bronchs, and cardioversions are done in the recovery room so recovery nurses need to be able to do conscious sedation. Experience or 'Must have' skills: Need Ventilator and pressor management skills for procedure rooms. EMR/Equipment: Epic, GE MACLab, Siemens Xray, and PACS. Epic experience required. Cardiologist hours/on call: On call when not in house. In house 7-7 M-F Manager/Charge Nurse: Charge nurse and Supervisor Tech Cath Lab Techs: If staffed appropriately, 10 techs daily to cover Cath Lab and IR. 3 techs per room. On call is two techs per team. Shifts & Scheduling: Pre-procedure and Recovery: 4 ten hour shifts, noon to 10:30, 2pm - 12:30am. Call only every 5th weekend during the day. Procedural nurses, 3 12's 7-7, option for 4 tens 9-7:30. Weeknight/Call Requirement: On call one night a week. Weekend/Call Requirement: Every 3rd or 4th weekend. Holiday/Call Requirement: Everyone takes about 1 holiday a year. Rotated in with perm staff. Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement?: Yes What is call response time?: Procedure nurses and techs 30 minutes, recovery nurses 45 minutes. Floating Requirements: Nurses: Have floated to other areas on a voluntary basis only.
