Job DescriptionConnections Behavior is in search of Behavior Technicians to work with children and adolescents in school-based settings in the North Schools Districts consisting of Lake Washington, Northshore, Shoreline, Issaquah, Lynnwood, Everett, Mukilteo, Kirkland, Bellevue. Connections contracts with several school districts to provide 1:1 support to children and adolescents with emotion behavior disorders, autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors. NO weekend work is required. This is an entry level position where you will receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This is a great position for those interested in autism, psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, mental health, para education, and teaching to expand their careers and learn about the field of ABA. Come help us make a difference in a students life! RBT's are responsible for going to the students school to deliver 1:1 instruction and support by following behavior plans created by a BCBA. Behavior plans may include procedures on how to arrange the environment to prevent challenging behaviors, instructions for how to teach the student to communicate needs more appropriately, and procedures for how to respond to unsafe behaviors. All behavior plans are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We provide comprehensive initial and ongoing training, and you will be provided with multiple weekly opportunities to collaborate with an experienced BCBA.
