Quick Facts Location: Seattle, WA Start Date: 09/01/2026 End Date/Duration: Through Spring 2027 Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Inpatient clinical hours + occasional weekend call) Hours/week: 40 hours/week (guaranteed 10 hours/day) Employment Type: Contract/Locum Licenses/Certs: Active WA license or IMLC, DEA, BC (Board Certified) Experience: 3+ years in neurosurgery or critical care preferred; ICU and post-op neuro experience highly valued Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable Robust referral bonus program and dedicated team support What You’ll Do Rounding on neurosurgical inpatients, monitoring neurologic status, reporting changes to surgeons Managing postoperative neurosurgical patients, including brain injury, hemorrhage, and spine cases (within scope) Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams—surgeons, anesthesiologists, ICU staff, and rehab teams—to coordinate patient care Participating in occasional weekend beeper call, with remote triage and escalation as needed Performing bedside procedures such as staple/suture removal, drain management, and VP shunt assessments Documenting and communicating patient progress in a fast-paced inpatient environment Following safety protocols and ensuring quality patient care at all times What You Need Current, active WA license or IMLC DEA certification 3+ years of experience in neurosurgery or critical care settings preferred Strong clinical skills in neuro assessments, postoperative care, and emergency response Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and clinical judgment About the Assignment Join a leading facility in Seattle, WA, dedicated to delivering high-quality neurosurgical care.
