JOB SUMMARY: The Driver/Installer ensures the success of special events for our clients. This can include tradeshows, conferences, conventions, and other unique events. The Driver/Installer will have an opportunity to represent our company, working with others, ensuring effective installations and take-downs, working with clients, our warehouse, operations, and sales. This person must be able to think on their feet, use good judgement, take care of fellow team members, and provide outstanding customer service to our clients. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: At Minimum Duties & Responsibilities • Works with warehouse staff to ensure the right items are brought together and safely loaded onto our box truck., • Drives items to client sites, safely and on time, obeying all rules of the road., • Unloads vehicle, setting up displays, furniture, and other items as required., • Sets up items according to predetermined floor plans, usually working with fellow Blueprint Studios employees, or contracted staffing firms., • Upholds the highest standards of quality control during installations of events and strikes (takedowns)., • Serves as one of the company Ambassadors who will be interacting with Clients and Customers during assigned installations and strikes., • Must be proactive to ensure all event installations are set within the contract timeline or earlier based on client requirements., • Ensures the use of proper field operations equipment (tools, supplies, par-inventories), reporting any missing items or items in need of repair., • Must be able to be very organized and complete all paperwork for assigned field operations production books when needed., • Maintains exceptional professional levels of customer service skills and exemplary compliance., • Exemplifies clear organizational skills and solution-driven management (sets example)., • Must attend all mandatory monthly operations or other meeting., • Check-in and out with client/venue always; Always provide business cards and phone contact., • Must have a valid license with a good driving record., • Must be able to read, complete and provide feedback on department-related reports., • Ensures furniture, fixtures, and other equipment is kept in ideal appearance and working order., • Experience and knowledge to solve problems and work independently, using good judgment., • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and legally., • This position does require flexibility with schedule including overtime and weekend hours. At Minimum Training, Education & Experience • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma and or Equivalent, • Must be minimum age of 25 years old, • A minimum of 2-3 years in event management related operations is preferred., • Experience with audio/visual equipment a plus., • Preferred experience in Warehouse or Event Management, • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record., • You must be able to speak proficiency and to provide written reports and feedback to management., • Must be very organized, detail-oriented and team success driven., • Must be flexible and adaptable to consent fast pace environment., • Computer skills to include email and Microsoft Office software and Google Docs., • Need to be flexible in work schedule and able to work on weekend if needed. Job Description TITLE: Transportation Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Southwest Commercial REPORTS TO: Branch Manager SUPERVISES: Bobtail, Fleet Fuel and Lube Drivers POSITION SUMMARY: The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of assigned fleet and equipment; daily dispatch, driver personnel, and compliance with health, safety, security and environmental regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise drivers: Lead team of drivers including performance, workload management, and recruiting, training, hiring and disciplining decisions. Manage overtime in alignment with Company objectives. Verify available hours of service with supporting employee schedules and confirm accuracy of time keeping and payroll documentation. Troubleshoot calls from drivers, serving as primary point of contact. Safety: Manage and escalate accident, product contaminations, spills, and other emergencies reported by drivers to appropriate operations leadership in compliance with West Direct Oil environmental, health, safety and security guidelines. Dispatch: Schedule vehicles and drivers in a way that optimizes company resources. This will consist of deliveries, including assignment of drivers to trucks and trucks to routes, to maximize operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability in adherence with safety requirements. Manage schedule changes (due to driver absences, business changes, and/or vehicle maintenance) and adjust assignments/routes accordingly, communicating changes to appropriate operations/sales representatives. Provide dispatch support on assigned evenings, weekends, and holidays, managing emergencies and directing response efforts when needed. Review and analyze previous day’s deliveries to ensure routes were adhered to and efficiency levels were met/exceeded and log and report emergency delivery details. Fleet Maintenance and Authorizations: Coordinate vehicle maintenance with mechanic team based on driver feedback and regular maintenance schedules to ensure fleet is maintained with federal, state and DOT regulations. Maintain proper paperwork with loading racks to ensure that all vehicles have the ability to load product. Communication: Maintain open dialogue with appropriate departments about delivery related issues. Serve as key point of contact for operational questions from other departments, outside carriers’ sales representatives, drivers, warehouse team, and operations leadership on all delivery related inquiries. Answer questions from customers as needed, referring them to customer service and other sources of information. Develop knowledge of customer order history and locations and apply this knowledge to daily routing and management of emergency situations. Safety Meetings: Contribute to, assist and attend driver and safety meetings. Orders: Review orders entered by customer service team and clarify/correct as required; create recurring orders in dispatch system. Check Web-based monitors for tank levels and generate delivery tickets if needed. Work: Complete daily tasks in a timely and efficient manner and executes all reasonable work-related assignments as requested by supervisor.
