Job DescriptionDescription: We are seeking an aggressive Outside Sales professional to drive growth for our industrial pressure washing equipment business in the Greater Chicago area. In this Territory Sales role, you will manage an 80-mile radius around Chicago (including parts of Illinois and western Indiana), developing new business and servicing accounts across diverse industries (e.g. food processing, construction, agriculture, municipalities, golf courses, and other industrial sectors). The ideal candidate is a self-motivated “hunter” with a proven ability to work independently, build a customer base from the ground up, and close sales. If you have a background in selling industrial equipment or services and thrive in a field sales environment, this is an exciting opportunity with uncapped earning potential and strong company support Key Responsibilities: • Territory Growth: Travel throughout the assigned territory (approx. 80-mile radius of Chicago) to identify and call on prospective customers, as well as visit existing clients, in order to solicit new equipment orders and service contracts. Leverage independent planning to cover the territory effectively and maximize facetime with customers., • New Business Development: Aggressively prospect and develop new customers while maintaining relationships with existing accounts within the territory. Target industries include food processing plants, construction firms, farms, golf courses, municipal agencies, and other industrial companies that can benefit from our pressure washing solutions., • Sales Presentations & Demos: Schedule and conduct on-site sales meetings and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our industrial pressure washers. Clearly articulate how our equipment and services solve customer cleaning and maintenance challenges., • Consultative Selling: Assess each customer’s needs (e.g. equipment cleaning in a food plant or heavy machinery maintenance on a construction site) and recommend appropriate solutions. Provide information on product capabilities, maintenance services, detergents, and accessories to create comprehensive cleaning solutions for clients., • Account Management: Build and nurture long-term customer relationships. Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and responsive support. Coordinate with our service department to address any issues and arrange maintenance or repairs as needed to keep client equipment running smoothly., • Sales Planning & Reporting: Develop a strategic sales plan for the territory, including setting weekly call schedules and sales goals. Track all activities and opportunities in our CRM system and regularly report on territory performance (pipeline, sales forecasts, etc.) to management. Adjust strategies based on market trends and guidance to consistently meet or exceed sales targets., • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience in industrial equipment, machinery, or a related industry. A background in selling technical products or services to commercial/industrial clients is highly preferred., • Proven Sales Ability: Demonstrated ability to hunt for new business and close sales deals, meeting or exceeding revenue goals in a territory-based role. An aggressive sales approach with a competitive drive to win is essential for this position., • Industry & Product Knowledge: Experience selling to customers in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, or similar sectors. Mechanical aptitude or the ability to quickly learn the technical details of pressure washing equipment is required to effectively demo and consult on our products., • Independence and Drive: Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently to manage a large geographic territory. Excellent time management and territory planning skills are needed to optimize your travel and sales calls. You must be comfortable setting your own schedule and proactively building a customer base from scratch., • Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and via phone/email. Ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse customer base is critical. Strong presentation and negotiation skills to effectively demonstrate value and close deals., • Competitive Base Salary + Commission: Enjoy a guaranteed base salary of $50,000 for the first year, paid regardless of commissions earned (this guaranteed salary helps you ramp up without income pressure). After the first year, the compensation structure will be a base salary of $30,000 plus an uncapped commission up to 12% on equipment sales.
