Job Description Purpose of Position The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating production activities across multiple food manufacturing sites to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role drives continuous improvement in productivity, quality, cost control, and employee engagement while ensuring all facilities meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The Production Manager partners closely with site leadership, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to align production execution with business objectives and demand forecasts. Key Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day production operations across multiple manufacturing sites, • Ensure production targets are met in alignment with safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals, • Monitor KPIs related to efficiency, waste, yield, downtime, and labor utilization, • Standardize production processes and best practices across sites, • Lead, coach, and develop site Production Supervisors and frontline leaders, • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, • Support workforce planning, training, performance management, and succession planning, • Promote strong communication between shifts, departments, and sites, • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP), • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all EHS requirements, • Partner with Quality teams to address deviations, root causes, and corrective actions, • Participate in audits and support corrective and preventive action plans, • Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma initiatives across sites, • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste elimination, • Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts using structured methodologies, • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions, • Collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain to align production schedules with demand, • Work closely with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime, • Partner with R&D, Engineering, and Quality during scale-ups and process changes, • Ensure clear communication of priorities, constraints, and risks across locations, • Prepare and review production, labor, safety, and quality reports, • Ensure accurate documentation and data integrity across sites, • Support budget planning and cost control initiatives, • Ensure that the quality of the product produced meets specifications and adheres to the quality systems, processes, and procedures., • Intermediate Language skills – ability to read/interpret documents, ability to write routine reports/correspondence, ability to speak effectively Intermediate Mathematical Skills – ability to calculate figures/amounts, • Spanish fluency is required, • Fluency in Italian is preferred, • 5+ years’ work experience in food manufacturing environment, • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications, • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities, • Lean, TPM, Six Sigma experience preferred, • Previous manufacturing experience required with a proven track record., • Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, GMP and HACCP Regulations and Principles, • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to communicate effectively at the plant floor level with line employees Compensation: Starting at $100,000 Salaried About Us: Rana is an international Company present in over 60 countries, with a turnover close to $1.5 billion.
