Job Description Job Title: Receiving and Operations Support Coordinator Job Purpose and Position Overview: The Receiving and Operations Support Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining efficient production and facility operations by managing material logistics, coordinating with multiple departments, and supporting day-to-day workflows. This position requires a strong understanding of production processes and equipment to stay informed about what tasks are being performed, when they are occurring, and what resources are needed to keep operations moving forward. Responsibilities include the receipt, inspection, organization, and distribution of incoming materials - both mechanical and electrical—ensuring they meet quality standards and are available to production teams as needed. The coordinator also manages outgoing shipments in collaboration with project and production managers, tracks inventory, and works closely with the Purchasing and Scheduling teams to align delivery timelines with production schedules. Additionally, the role involves identifying and addressing process inefficiencies, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. The coordinator is a coworker on a team that is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of all materials at Snow. Key Responsibilities: • Organize, direct, and oversee all incoming materials for all outfitting and electrical departments, ensuring accurate inspection, verification, and storage., • Work closely with receiving to ensure materials are kitted, organized, and readily available for production when needed. Maintain an up-to-date awareness of production schedules., • Manage outgoing shipments, including inspection, verification, and coordination with project and production managers; ensure spare parts are packed for outgoing boats., • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records; ensure efficient storage systems are in place., • Collaborate with the Purchasing and Scheduling teams to align incoming material flow with production needs and timelines., • Regularly review material order schedules to ensure on-time delivery and resolve discrepancies or delays., • Inspect and evaluate products for quality and defects; address any issues that may impact workflow., • Identify and correct inefficiencies or disruptions related to materials, processes, or equipment., • Provide constructive logistics evaluations and recommend process improvements or changes., • Support general facility operations, maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace., • Collaborate with managers and supervisors across departments to coordinate materials and align production objectives., • Organize, direct, and oversee all incoming materials for all outfitting and electrical departments, ensuring accurate inspection, verification, and storage., • Attend production and scheduling meetings to stay aligned with ongoing projects and priorities., • Communicate clearly and consistently with cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment., • Support others on the receiving and material management team by covering/assisting others as directed by Operations Manager., • Participate in and support continuous improvement efforts related to logistics and operations., • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail., • Excellent time management with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including issue identification, assessment, and execution., • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency., • Solid understanding of raw materials, production workflows, quality control, inventory management, and manufacturing/distribution techniques., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other standard desktop computing tools (internet, email, spreadsheets, word processing)., • Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization., • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, test procedures, and related documentation. The work environment is a dynamic, fast-paced shipyard with moderate to loud noise levels due to ongoing production activities. Job duties are performed in production areas and onboard vessels and require: • The ability to walk to and from job sites, climb inclined stairways, and use vertical ladders, • Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, twisting, standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands/fingers for various tasks, • Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling, • Frequent lifting of up to 20 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, • The ability to work in extreme temperatures and conditions, including areas with limited ventilation, • The ability to enter and work in confined spaces, such as manholes, • The ability to work at heights, • Frequent use of a respirator, • Wearing required safety gear, including a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing, • $28 - $34 / hour, • Full time, overtime non-exempt position, • Positive and supportive work environment, • 100% paid medical insurance for employees, 80% for spouses and dependents, • Comprehensive dental insurance, • Vision insurance, • Life insurance options available, • 401(k) retirement plan Equal Opportunity Employer: Snow & Company, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
