Our Food & Beverage Internship offers hands-on experience in restaurant, bar, banquet, and back-of-house operations. Over 12 weeks, you’ll gain exposure to every part of food and beverage service — from daily guest interactions to behind-the-scenes planning and coordination. By the end of the program, you’ll have the confidence, skills, and insight to support hotel food & beverage operations and take your first step toward a career in hospitality leadership. What You’ll Learn • Front-of-house operations, including restaurant, bar, and banquets, • Culinary and back-of-house coordination, • Guest service, communication, and service recovery techniques, • Scheduling, cost control, and inventory management fundamentals, • Leadership and administrative exposure, • Rotations through restaurant, bar, banquets, and kitchen operations, • Mentorship and weekly check-ins with F&B leadership, • Training in service standards, food safety, and POS systems, • Final project presentation and professional feedback session, • Certificate of completion and consideration for future opportunities Perks • Real-world hotel experience with a respected hospitality brand, • Complimentary meals during scheduled shifts, • Networking opportunities with industry professionals, • Hands-on leadership exposure and skill development, • Potential for continued employment post-internship Skills & Attributes: • Friendly, team-oriented, and eager to learn, • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented], • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, • Open to feedback and adaptable to changing priorities Physical Requirements (Essential Functions): • This role involves regularly traversing or moving through restaurant, banquet, and kitchen areas to support operations, • Occasional reaching, positioning, or transporting items (typically up to 25 lbs.) may be part of daily tasks, • Must be able to effectively engage with guests and team members across varied workspaces, • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, • Currently enrolled in (or recent graduate of) a Hospitality, Business, or related program, • Prior customer service or food service experience preferred, • Must be at least 18 years of age, • Strong communication skills and a professional, guest-focused attitude Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings are required. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with Crowne Plaza Lansing rules and regulations for the safe and effective operations of the Hotel’s facilities.
