Albuquerque is a top destination for travel nurses, offering Southwestern culture, scenic desert landscapes, and a vibrant arts scene—perfect for healthcare professionals seeking both career growth and adventure. • Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico travel nursing jobs), • Facility Type: Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital, • Unit: Inpatient PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), • Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract, • Start Date: December 1, 2025, • End Date: March 2, 2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (09:00 – 21:30), • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (facility may call off up to 3 times during contract), • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1710 – $1750, • Weekend Requirement: One weekend shift per month, • On-call: 1–2 overnight call shifts per month, • Patient Ratios: 1:2 in PACU; may float to holding area (ratios 1:3–5), • Charting: Cerner electronic health record (EHR), • Parking: Free on-site parking, • Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience, including Level I Trauma and Telemetry, • Active Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or compact state; pending license accepted), • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (no RQI certifications accepted), • Experience with pre/post Cath lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures, • Willingness to float to holding area within PACU as needed, • Ability to provide care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, • COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted), • No local candidates within 75 miles of Albuquerque facility, • First-time travel nurses accepted upon screening, • Charge nurse experience preferred, • Deliver pre- and post-operative care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU, • Monitor and manage patients following Cath lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures, • Recognize and manage dysrhythmias; provide care for ventilated patients, • Float to holding area in PACU department as needed (ratios 1:3–5), • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more, • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic charting system, • Participate in rapid response and emergency situations We believe in empowering your career.
