Exp: 2 Years Certificate: BLS, IV Certified, Phlebotomy Certified Position Summary: The LVN in the OB/GYN clinic is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, clinical support to physicians, and ensuring a positive experience for women seeking obstetric and gynecological services. This role involves direct patient interaction, assistance with exams and procedures, patient education, documentation, and support in maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment. Shift: 8 hours between 0600-1800. Experience with the following OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon, and NST Required: • CA License, • BLS (AHS or ARC), • Flu Vaccination (no declinations/no exemptions), • IV/Blood Draw Certified, • 1 Year of OBGYN experience, • 2 Years of overall LVN experience Preferred: • Epic experience Position / Specialty: LVN/OBGYN Years of experience REQ: 2 as LVN and 1 in OBGYN First-timers accepted: Yes Weekend REQ: No Certs REQ: BLS and IV Certified Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs- Yes Key Responsibilities: • Welcome and prepare patients for OB/GYN examinations and procedures., • Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and reason for visit in the EMR system., • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with pelvic exams, PAP smears, prenatal visits, and minor in-office procedures., • Administer medications and injections as ordered (including vaccines and prenatal supplements)., • Perform blood draws, urine dip tests, pregnancy tests, and specimen collection for labs., • Monitor fetal heart tones and assist in prenatal patient assessments., • Provide patient education regarding pregnancy care, postpartum instructions, contraception, and general womens health., • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines., • Ensure exam rooms and equipment are cleaned, stocked, and prepared for patient use., • Help coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and scheduling of diagnostic tests., • Document all care in electronic medical records accurately and promptly.
