Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year A bit about us: The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards and applicable customer, regulatory, and statutory requirements. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to ensure product conformity, on-time delivery performance, and customer satisfaction in a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. The Quality Manager serves as the management representative for the QMS and drives a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. Why join us? $100,000 - $130,000 per year depending on Experience Great Benefits Room for Growth 401k Job Details Key Responsibilities Quality Management System (AS9100) Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the AS9100-compliant QMS. Serve as the AS9100 Management Representative, ensuring ongoing compliance and certification readiness. Establish, monitor, and report on quality objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics. Ensure effective document control, record retention, and configuration management. Lead internal audits, management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance & Audits Prepare for and lead third-party, customer, and regulatory audits. Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and effectiveness verification. Ensure compliance with customer flow-down requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations. Maintain calibration systems, inspection processes, and measurement system integrity. Manufacturing & Process Control Oversee quality assurance activities for machining, milling, forming, turning, and assembly operations. Ensure control of special processes, first article inspections (FAI per AS9102), and in-process inspections. Partner with Operations and Engineering to establish robust process controls and risk mitigation strategies. Drive defect reduction, scrap reduction, and on-time delivery performance improvements. Customer & Supplier Quality Serve as primary point of contact for customer quality matters, including audits, concerns, and performance reviews. Manage customer complaints, nonconformances, and corrective actions. Oversee supplier quality management, including supplier audits, performance monitoring, and corrective actions. Support contract review and ensure quality requirements are clearly defined and communicated. Training & Leadership Lead and mentor quality personnel and cross-functional teams. Ensure employee training, qualification, and competency requirements are defined and maintained. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Data, Reporting & Systems Utilize electronic quality and process tracking systems to manage corrective actions, audits, training, calibration, and document control. Analyze quality data and generate reports for leadership, customers, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive data-based decision-making and risk-based thinking throughout the organization. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5–10 years of quality leadership experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing. Strong working knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace quality requirements. Experience leading internal and external audits, including certification audits. Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.). Preferred AS9100 Lead Auditor certification. Experience with aerospace machining and complex precision components. Familiarity with electronic QMS or manufacturing tracking systems. Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and communication skills. High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability. Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Leadership. Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and present performance metrics. Customer-focused approach with a commitment to quality and compliance. Work Environment Manufacturing and office environment within a precision machining facility.
