Position Summary The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting site-wide Environmental, Health & Safety programs with a strong focus on environmental compliance, hazardous/chemical waste management, EHS data analytics, and regulatory reporting. This role partners with facilities, laboratories, manufacturing, and leadership teams to support compliance initiatives, improve safety performance, and drive continuous improvement programs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing chemical/hazardous waste programs within manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, or R&D environments and be comfortable working with EHS metrics, dashboards, audits, and environmental permitting activities. Key Responsibilities 1. EHS Data Analytics & Reporting (45%) • Maintain and analyze EHS metrics including:, • Incidents, • Near misses, • Safety observations, • Audits, • Training records, • Environmental metrics, • Develop and maintain Excel-based dashboards, pivot tables, charts, and trend analyses., • Prepare recurring and ad hoc EHS reports for leadership and corporate teams., • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across EHS systems., • Support investigations and root cause analysis through reporting and data visualization. 2. Environmental Compliance & Waste Management (30%) • Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local environmental regulations., • Assist with environmental permitting activities including:, • Air permits, • Emissions tracking, • Environmental recordkeeping, • Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs including:, • Waste profiles, • Waste manifests, • Vendor coordination, • Disposal tracking, • Maintain EHS procedures, forms, work instructions, and compliance documentation., • Support EHS inspections, audits, and corrective action tracking., • Research regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 3. EHS Training & Communication (15%) • Create and update EHS training materials, presentations, and job aids., • Support onboarding and refresher safety training programs., • Track training completion and provide compliance metrics., • Assist with safety campaigns, 5S initiatives, visual management, and employee engagement activities. 4. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects (10%) • Participate in EHS continuous improvement initiatives., • Support incident investigations and corrective action follow-up., • Assist with preparation for corporate and regulatory audits., • Support projects related to:, • Risk reduction, • Exposure control, • Process improvements, • Digital EHS tools Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in:, • Environmental Health & Safety, • Environmental Science, • Industrial Hygiene, • Engineering, • Related field, • (Equivalent experience may be considered.), • 7–10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, or related environments., • Strong experience managing chemical/hazardous waste programs., • Knowledge of:, • OSHA regulations, • EPA regulations, • Environmental permitting, • Waste management compliance, • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:, • Pivot tables, • VLOOKUP, • Charts, • Formulas, • Experience with EHS reporting systems and compliance tracking tools., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Project management and multitasking abilities., • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on an ongoing basis. Preferred Qualifications • Professional EHS certifications preferred:, • ASP, • CSP, • CIH, • CHMM, • Experience in R&D or chemical manufacturing environments., • Experience supporting audits and environmental inspections.
