OUR CLIENT & PROJECT PropTech business in Spain has experienced strong growth over the past 12 months and is now entering its next phase of expansion. We are seeking a commercially driven, operationally excellent leader to take full responsibility for scaling the business. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership and impact. THE ROLE The Managing Director will be fully responsible for leading and growing the business. You will define strategy, execute operational excellence, expand the portfolio, and build a high-performance team: • This is not a corporate caretaker role., • This is a build-and-scale role., • You will work closely with the shareholders but have full accountability for performance, growth, and execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute a clear 1–3 year strategic plan, • Define annual operating plans and performance targets, • Identify growth opportunities across acquisition and partnerships, • Oversee day-to-day operations of the apartment portfolio, • Ensure best-in-class guest experience and landlord satisfaction, • Build scalable systems and processes, • Own P&L responsibility, • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning, • Drive margin optimization and cost control, • Lead expansion of the apartment portfolio, • Develop relationships with landlords, brokers, and strategic partners, • Evaluate new market or product opportunities, • Oversee brand positioning and messaging, • Ensure performance marketing and distribution channels are optimised, • Drive direct bookings and reduce dependency on OTAs, • Build and lead a high-performance team, • Recruit strategically as the business scales, • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and pace, • Lead from the front IDEAL PROFILE We are open to different backgrounds, provided there is strong commercial and operational capability. You may come from: • Senior leadership within RE & Hospitality, • A fast-growing real estate or proptech business, • A top-tier management consulting background with operational leadership experience, • A scale-up environment where you have built systems and teams Experience & Skills • 7–15+ years relevant experience, • Strong P&L ownership, • Experience scaling an operational business, • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability, • Strong financial literacy, • Excellent communication skills (English required; Spanish highly desirable), • Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment REQUIRED COMPETENCES • Someone who wants to build, not maintain, • High ownership mentality, • Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, • Hard-working and execution-focused, • Long-term commitment mindset, • Commercially sharp but operationally grounded This role is suited to someone ambitious, disciplined, and motivated by building something meaningful.
