Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, for a QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Coordinator. The QHSE Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental programs across the organization. This role ensures that company operations are aligned with internal standards, client requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory obligations. The position works closely with field operations, management, employees, and support departments to promote a strong QHSE culture, maintain compliance, improve reporting and controls, and support safe and efficient operational performance. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and programs. Monitor compliance with company QHSE standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations. Coordinate inspections, audits, site visits, and follow-up actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Assist in the preparation, review, and update of QHSE manuals, procedures, risk assessments, JSA/JHA documentation, and related records. Track incidents, near misses, corrective actions, observations, and non-conformities, ensuring proper documentation and timely follow-up. Prepare QHSE reports, dashboards, statistics, and presentations for management and operational teams. Support incident investigations by gathering facts, documenting findings, identifying root causes, and monitoring corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate safety meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and QHSE awareness initiatives. Work closely with field operations and department leaders to promote safe work practices and operational discipline. Maintain QHSE records, training matrices, certifications, inspection logs, and compliance documentation in an organized and controlled manner. Support environmental compliance activities, including waste management, spill prevention, reporting, and environmental awareness. Assist with vendor and contractor QHSE compliance reviews where applicable. Participate in client meetings, internal reviews, and operational planning discussions related to QHSE matters. Help identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to strengthen operational controls and QHSE performance. Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage employee participation in QHSE initiatives. Travel to operational sites, yards, offices, and field locations as required to support inspections, audits, training, and operational follow-up. Management and Coordination Focus Maintain effective control over QHSE records, reporting, action tracking, and compliance follow-up. Coordinate with operations, HR, maintenance, supply chain, and management to ensure QHSE requirements are properly communicated and implemented. Support management with accurate QHSE information, updates, and recommendations for improvement. Act as a link between field personnel and management on QHSE matters, helping ensure clear communication and timely response to issues. Contribute to building consistent and practical QHSE processes that support both compliance and operational performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field. Experience in QHSE coordination, safety administration, compliance, or operational support. Knowledge of QHSE systems, policies, reporting requirements, and risk assessment processes. Familiarity with incident reporting, corrective action tracking, audits, inspections, and safety training coordination. Understanding of applicable safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Willingness and ability to travel as required by operational and business needs. Soft Skills and Competencies Strong organizational and coordination skills.
