ABOUT THE ROLE Based in Madrid as the core operational hub, take overall charge of the full-lifecycle budget management covering Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, the UK, France and other European countries. Establish a European-adapted budget control system in compliance with local fiscal and tax regulations of Spain. Lead the annual budget formulation, execution monitoring, variance analysis and rolling forecast for the whole region. Cooperate with finance teams of European subsidiaries and local business departments in Madrid. Drive cost structure optimization and gross margin improvement through professional budget controlling, support regional business decision-making. Act as the key liaison between global headquarters and European branches to ensure standardized, compliant and efficient financial operation across Europe. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Budget Planning & Formulation • Formulate unified regional budgeting standards, working procedures and timelines in line with group financial strategy and European business targets. Lead the overall budgeting process for all European subsidiaries., • Build regional financial budget model, conduct historical data review and multi-scenario business forecasting. Review budget drafts from each country, balance overall regional budget to align with business reality and group gross margin target., • Host budget review meetings in Madrid, coordinate budget adjustment between headquarters and European subsidiaries, finalize budget approval and official release. Budget Execution & Monitoring • Establish real-time monitoring mechanism for European budget performance, track revenue achievement, cost status and expense execution of all subsidiaries, focus on budget implementation of local Spanish business., • Take charge of local expense approval and cost verification in Madrid, supervise budget compliance across Europe, identify overspending and financial risks, issue early warnings and drive rectification., • Ensure all budget execution fully complies with IFRS, EU financial rules, Spanish local fiscal & tax regulations and group internal policies. Budget Analysis & Business Partnership • Compile regular regional budget analysis report, deeply analyze variance of revenue, cost, expense and net profit. Deliver practical cost optimization and profit improvement solutions based on European market situation., • Lead quarterly and semi-annual rolling forecast, dynamically adjust budget scheme according to market fluctuation and business changes., • Partner with sales, operation and project teams across Europe. Participate in profit optimization, cost control and investment evaluation, support daily financial operation with PSI & PR standard process., • Optimize existing budget workflow and reporting system, improve overall efficiency of cross-regional financial management. Cross-regional Coordination & Team Management • Serve as the core contact based in Madrid, submit regular budget report and forecasting data to group headquarters, implement unified financial requirements from head office., • Guide and manage finance members of European subsidiaries, organize regular budget training, unify management standards of the whole region., • Coordinate cross-border & cross-departmental financial communication, resolve obstacles during budget preparation and execution, ensure smooth collaboration under cross-timezone and multicultural working environment. KEY REQUIREMENTS Education & Certification • Bachelor degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related majors., • Candidates holding CPA, ACCA, CMA or Spanish local financial qualification are highly preferred. Professional Experience • Minimum 6 years full-cycle finance experience, among which over 3 years focused on FP&A and budget management., • More than 3 years working experience in multinational enterprise within Europe. Familiar with Spanish local taxation, EU accounting standards and European financial compliance requirements. Prior experience working in Madrid is a strong plus., • Expertise in budgeting, rolling forecast, variance analysis and cost controlling; outstanding skills in financial data analysis and modeling., • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, EU tax rules, Spanish local fiscal policy and European foreign exchange management regulations., • Proficient in ERP system including SAP / Oracle, advanced Excel and Power BI for data processing and visual analysis., • Strong commercial insight, capable of delivering executable profit improvement plans to achieve targeted regional gross margin. Personal Competencies • Fluent Spanish as daily working language, fluent business English for cross-European communication. Additional European language skills are preferred., • Excellent cross-cultural communication, coordination ability and team management skill;capable of managing multi-country financial work under cross-timezone environment., • Meticulous, highly responsible and able to work under pressure; willing to take European business travel., • Strict professional ethics with high confidentiality awareness; Candidates with Big 4 audit background or working experience in top international groups are prioritized.
