This position will work onsite in Weybridge, UK We are seeking a high-performing, commercially astute Business Development Manager to drive new, profitable growth across EMEA markets (excluding UK & Ireland). This role is responsible for unlocking new distribution opportunities, accelerating the development of emerging travel partner accounts, and expanding Celebrity Cruises' footprint across continental Europe. Based in the UK, the role is predominantly telephone-based but may also include European travel to support training, partner meetings, ship visits, events and key industry conferences. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their line manager or management. 1.Strategic Growth & Partnerships: · Drive activation of long-tail partner accounts and International Representatives, uncovering untapped opportunities and accelerating revenue generation · Lead the development and execution of a regional MICE strategy, establishing it as a high-potential distribution channel · Establish, own and manage key EMEA tourist board partnerships, working alongside Key Account Managers in local markets, to maximise collaboration through joint marketing, events and training initiatives · Use market insights, competitor intelligence and consumer trends to optimise commercial tactics and maximise return on investment · Lead commercial negotiations with new newly acquired partners to secure long-term, profitable partnerships · Collaborate with EMEA Training and Trade Marketing to deliver compelling tools, training programs and sales resources that enable success 2. Profitability & Commercial Effectiveness · Analyse performance data and market insights to ensure all sales activities contribute to profitable, sustainable growth. · Establish clear ROI measurement across all initiatives, ensuring commercial investments deliver optimal value. · Produce strategic product and account plans aligned to booking curves and demand cycles · Ensure trade partnerships exceed market averages in both revenue and margin performance · Apply a data-led approach to prioritise high-value partnerships and attract affluent customer segments. 3. Sales Delivery & Accountability · Consistently achieve targets and revenue goals set by leadership. · Demonstrate strong financial discipline, delivering all initiatives on time and within budget · Provide timely, insightful sales reporting, including performance updates and market intelligence · Utilise sales management and technology platforms to optimise efficiency and performance QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION · 5+ years' experience in business development or sales within the travel or hospitality sectors. · A strong track record of success in European markets. · European language skills and cruise industry experience are highly desirable. · Demonstrable success in new customer acquisition and revenue growth. · Experience using data-driven sales and marketing strategies. · Excellent relationship-building ability across internal teams and external partners. · Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior management, customer groups and training audiences. · Strong commercial thinking, analytical capability and decision-making skills. · Highly motivated, positive, resilient and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Creative problem-solver with an ability to deliver innovative solutions. · Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. What will you do? Strategic pricing • Pricing and yield guidelines for rates, room types, and customer segments., • Define the ideal business mix and channel mix strategy, define overbooking and protection strategy Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting • Builds 2-year property revenue strategy and budget proposal, prepares forecast based on the company guidelines., • Validates RMS forecast and ensures corrective action to improve the forecast. Daily revenue management optimization • Reviews demand calendars, convention and city event calendars and sets up events and seasonality databases., • Performs daily pick-up analysis, reviews yield system forecast, competition analysis and price positioning., • Effectively applies pricing and restrictions in line with set strategy to maximize profits: rate open/closing, rate level and short-term sales and promotion action plan design & execution., • Responsible for group quotations and related displacement analysis., • Formulate strategies to support the automation of manual processes in revenue management processes through efficient system use.
