Position Overview Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Biotechnology / PMO / Organisational Support Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position Location: Toulouse, France Start Date: As soon as possible Your Mission As part of Aviwell's PMO team, you will play a central role in supporting the execution of our R&D and industrial programs. This position is ideal for a highly organized, energetic, and proactive individual who enjoys coordinating multiple activities, interacting with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the success of innovative biotechnology projects. You will work closely with the Program Management Officer and act as a key facilitator between scientists, operational teams, external partners, and management. Beyond project coordination, you will be expected to develop a solid understanding of the biological and biotechnological context of our activities, enabling you to effectively support scientific teams and anticipate project needs. Key Responsibilities Project Management • Support the Program Management Officer in planning, monitoring, and coordinating strategic R&D and industrial projects, • Track project timelines, milestones, budgets, risks, and deliverables, • Organize project meetings, prepare minutes, and ensure follow-up of action plans, • Maintain project documentation and reporting tools with accuracy and rigor, • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and operational efficiency, • Coordinate procurement activities and project-related logistics, • Organize and oversee biological sample shipments while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, • Coordinate interactions with external partners, CROs, laboratories, suppliers, and service providers, • Proactively identify bottlenecks and help drive projects forward in a fast-moving environment Scientific & Biotechnology Coordination • Develop a strong understanding of Aviwell's biological, microbiological, and biotechnology programs, • Serve as an effective interface between scientific teams, laboratories, operational departments, and external stakeholders, • Support the organization and structuring of scientific and technical documentation, • Facilitate communication and information flow across multidisciplinary teams, • Help ensure that scientific activities are translated into clear project plans and actionable deliverables Organizational Support • Support HR & administration activities, including onboarding, employee records, and documentation management, • Monitor training activities and support employee development initiatives, • Track HR-related KPIs, absences, and leave records, • Contribute to employee engagement and internal communication initiatives, • Assist in maintaining and improving HR procedures and organizational documentation Who We Are Looking For Education & Experience • Bachelor's or Master's degree (BSc/MSc) in Biotechnology, Biology, Project Management, Life Sciences, HR, or a related field, • A genuine interest in biotechnology and scientific innovation, • Basic understanding of biology and biotechnology is required, • Previous experience in project coordination, PMO, HR support, biotech, pharmaceutical, agritech, or other regulated environments is a strong advantage, • Experience with project logistics, biological sample management, or CRO coordination is a plus Skills & Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who combines scientific curiosity with exceptional organizational capabilities.
