Senior Accounting Team Coordinator Salary: up to €55,000 per year (depending on experience) + annual performance bonus Location: La Défense, France Schedule: Monday to Friday, no weekends + 1-day per week WFH The Opportunity Our client, a leading international organisation in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a Senior Accounting Team Coordinator to play a pivotal role within their finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations across multiple French entities, ensure compliance with group standards, and lead a small but high-performing accounting team. You will be responsible for monthly and annual closings, financial reporting, audits and tax compliance, while acting as a key liaison between internal departments, shared service centres and external partners. The role also carries leadership responsibilities, supporting the growth and professional development of junior staff. Key Responsibilities • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities for our client’s French entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and full compliance with group and statutory requirements, • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, providing clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders, • Liaise with external tax advisors on corporate tax matters for French entities, • Coordinate statutory year-end audits, ensuring all external audits and tax filings are completed accurately and on time, • Manage the annual Group Close, delivering precise financial information to group headquarters, • Oversee tax returns, filings and payments across all entities under your remit, • Review and approve Purchase Orders (PO) and Purchase Requisitions (PR) via the UPM system or manual workflows, • Lead the preparation and submission of French financial statements (liasse fiscale), ensuring full compliance with local accounting and tax regulations, • Supervise the execution of tax calendars and ensure accurate filing of VAT, CVAE, IFER, and other local tax obligations, • Guarantee local tax compliance across all operational projects and entities, • Collaborate closely with the Group Tax Team, maintaining consistent reporting and alignment on corporate tax strategy, • Build and maintain strong collaboration with internal teams across Finance, Tax, Mergers & Reporting, Operations & Maintenance, and Corporate Services, • Act as the key point of contact for the Shared Services Centre, ensuring seamless communication and effective process alignment, • Serve as the primary liaison for external partners, including auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors, overseeing timely delivery of audit reports, tax documentation, and DAU files, • Mentor and support new hires and interns to ensure smooth integration and consistent performance, • Define and track team objectives and KPIs, promoting accountability and continuous improvement, • Organise internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to drive professional development and enhance overall team capability Profile & Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (DEC, ACCA, or DSCG preferred), • Prior experience in an accounting firm is highly desirable, • Audit experience is advantageous, though not essential, • Minimum five years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or tax compliance, • Proven ability to lead and develop a team within a corporate environment, • Solid understanding of accounting standards and tax compliance in France and within international groups, • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, • Capable of working independently and collaboratively across departments and countries, • Familiarity with SAP or Quadratus/Cegid systems preferred (training can be provided), • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels, • Fluent in Chinese, French and English (written and spoken) Next Steps This is an exceptional opportunity to join a global renewable energy leader driving Europe’s clean energy transition.
