Day Senior Care Assistant

Caer Gwent combines superb residential living with 24-hour expert nursing care, supporting individuals with complex health conditions, particularly focusing on palliative support.

Our home has a high staff-to-resident ratio, with a versatile team built around residents’ needs. As well providing around-the-clock nursing care, we have dedicated Health & Wellbeing Coordinators who deliver regular and stimulating activities catered to individuals’ interests.

To be responsible for leading the shift and the management and deployment of Care Assistants in accordance with residents needs across allocated areas and to promote the highest standard of care for residents through the development and implementation of Care Plans and by personal example of good care practice.

Job Requirements


Experience of supervising others

The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory DBS check

The ability to keep Medication competency up to date

Committed to continuous professional development


Health and Safety qualification

Qualification in care QCF (NVQ Level 3) or be willing to work towards

First Aid in the Workplace qualification
