Sweet Jerk

Restaurant Manager Front of House

The Role We’re looking for a Front of House Manager — someone who can own the floor, lead a team, and make sure every guest gets the Sweet Jerk experience from the moment they walk through the door. If you’ve managed in fast-paced brands like Nando’s, Wagamama, PizzaExpress, Five Guys, Wingstop or similar, this will feel familiar. This is not a Supervisor or Senior Waiter/Waitress role. We’re looking for someone who has already managed a restaurant Front of House operation and knows what it takes to run a busy service, lead a team, hold standards, cash up, handle customers, and keep everything moving when the pressure is on. You’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Kitchen Manager to make sure FOH is sharp, organised and bringing the energy every service. Key Responsibilities Lead the Front of House team during service, keeping the floor organised, efficient, and guest-focused. Manage service flow across seating, ordering, food running, drinks, clearing, and customer experience. Lead and motivate the FOH team, setting the standard through your own energy and performance. Handle customer concerns and service recovery confidently and professionally. Carry out opening and closing procedures, including cashing up and end-of-day till reconciliation. Train, onboard, and develop new FOH team members. Support rota planning, shift allocation, and appropriate staffing levels. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and restaurant readiness. Ensure company procedures, health and safety requirements, and operational checks are followed. Monitor team performance and address issues quickly when standards slip. Work closely with the kitchen team to keep communication tight and service flowing. Step in wherever needed during busy periods — at Sweet Jerk, our managers lead from the floor. What We’re Looking For ✅ At least 2 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager or Front of House Manager. ✅ Proven experience directly managing a FOH team of 5+ people. ✅ Experience running busy restaurant services as the manager responsible for the floor. ✅ Confident with cashing up, till reconciliation, opening and closing procedures. ✅ Experience managing rotas, staffing, training, and team performance. ✅ Strong customer service skills and confidence handling complaints and service recovery. ✅ Experience within a recognised restaurant group, hospitality brand, or busy standards-led restaurant environment is highly desirable. ✅ Calm, organised, and decisive when service gets busy. ✅ Someone who leads by example — on the floor, not from the sidelines. ✅ High standards, great energy, and a genuinely warm approach to hospitality. ✅ Flexible availability including evenings and weekends. Please note: This is a management position. Supervisor, Shift Leader, Team Leader, Senior Server or Senior Waiter/Waitress experience alone will not meet the experience requirement unless you have also held overall Front of House or Restaurant Manager responsibility. Why You’ll Love Working at Sweet Jerk ⭐ We’re building something from the ground up — and you’ll help shape it. ⭐ Real progression opportunities as we grow across multiple sites. ⭐ Supportive, family-style culture (we call our team Jerk Stars). ⭐ A chance to put your stamp on the standards and culture of a growing restaurant brand. ⭐ Great food, great people, and good vibes. ⭐ Staff meals and structured training provided. How to Apply If you know how to run a restaurant floor, lead people, and create the kind of hospitality that keeps guests coming back, we’d love to hear from you. Send your CV along with a short message telling us why you’d be a great fit for Sweet Jerk.

London

Our story Back in 2019 in Paris, two friends, Charles and Victor, opened a brasserie together - the kind of place Parisians disappear into for a 3-hour lunch. They called it La Nouvelle Garde: a promise to eat and drink the French way, done properly, 100% homemade, cooked from scratch from the highest quality seasonal ingredients. They served classic French dishes prepared with care, generosity and excellence in beautiful, relaxed spaces full of energy. Guests loved it! So they opened another one, and then another one. Each with its own name, personality and story, but always with the same love for French food and hospitality. And 10 brasseries later, it was finally time to bring it to London. In July 2026, in Sloane Square, Brasserie Olivia was born. This is just the beginning of our London story, and we'd love you to help write the next chapter. What you'll bring • You're already working as a Bar Assistant Manager, or you're an experienced Senior Bartender ready for the next step., • You have strong experience working in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment., • You have excellent cocktail knowledge and are confident in preparing all the classics quickly and consistently., • You have experience with the operational side of running a bar, including staff rotas, ordering, stock management and waste control., • You're confident leading a team, giving feedback and helping bartenders develop, • You're quick on your feet, stay calm under pressure and know how to keep things moving during a busy service., • You're positive, presentable and comfortable interacting with guests and creating a great atmosphere., • Good wine knowledge would be a plus.
