CNC Miller \n Salary: £18 – £21 per hour, depending on experience Location: Luton, Bedfordshire Working pattern: Full-time, permanent — 40 hours (Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm) \n About the role \n Pact Engineering is a long-established, family-owned precision engineering company with a strong reputation for producing high-quality, complex components for the motorsport, food production and wider manufacturing sectors. As our order book continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled CNC Miller to help us deliver the standards our customers expect. \n This suits an experienced CNC Miller, or a capable machinist ready to develop further, who wants to join a stable and well-run machine shop. \n What you'll be doing \n\n • Programming, setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines\n, • Producing high-quality components to tight tolerances\n, • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings\n, • Using modern inspection equipment to verify part quality\n, • Working independently and as part of a small, collaborative team\n, • Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining our quality standards\n\n What you'll bring \n\n • Experience programming, setting or operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines\n, • Competent CNC programming on HEIDENHAIN controls, or a willingness to train\n, • Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings\n, • Understanding of the standards required to produce a high-quality finish\n, • Confidence using modern inspection tools and equipment\n, • Able to work with minimal supervision and use your initiative\n, • Fork-lift truck experience or certification is an advantage, but not essential\n\n What's on offer \n\n • Permanent, full-time position with an early Friday finish\n, • Regular overtime available (non-contractual)\n, • Ongoing training and development, including HEIDENHAIN programming\n, • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service\n, • Workplace pension scheme\n, • Enhanced sick pay\n, • Free on-site parking, with Luton rail and bus stations close by\n, • A friendly, experienced team where your skills will be valued\n\n Ready to apply? \n If you want to be part of a respected engineering business with a strong reputation and a supportive team, apply now with your CV. \n You may have experience of the following: CNC Miller, CNC Machinist, CNC Milling Machinist, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter Operator, 5 Axis Machinist, Milling Machinist, CNC Mill Operator, Precision Machinist, Toolmaker \n ref- 230 629 \n
