Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Rochester, Kent. Salary: Circa £40,000 dependent on skills and experience What you’ll be doing: • Driving the implementation and improvement of technology-based initiatives across the manufacturing facility by researching new and emerging technologies, carrying out feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capital expenditure proposals for new equipment, • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy smart manufacturing solutions, • Driving automation and connectivity projects to improve system-to-system communication and overall business efficiency, • Monitoring and troubleshooting integrated systems and identifying opportunities to improve production performance, • Developing and maintaining data analytics tools for process optimisation, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring Essential: • Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or time served in a similar role (HNC/Degree), • The ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop solutions, • Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous, • Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD packages As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
