Job Title: Senior Development Lead Reports To: Engineering Director Site: Newcastle - three/four days a month in the office with a small team of developers Rate: £600 to £650 per day IR35 status: INSIDE - so paid through an umbrella Status - British or ILR (Indefinite leave to remain) in the UK is eesential Sector - Utilities or Energy experience essential Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Lead to manage a small, highly skilled development team responsible for delivering software changes, resolving support tickets, and implementing configuration updates. You will work closely with Project Managers, senior stakeholders, and other Development Leads in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, ensuring delivery excellence and technical quality. Key Responsibilities • Team Leadership & Management, • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of developers., • Allocate and manage workload across the team., • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching., • Technical Delivery, • Oversee the delivery of software enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes., • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets in line with SLAs., • Maintain high coding standards and ensure adherence to best practices., • Stakeholder & Project Liaison, • Collaborate with Project Managers to plan and prioritise work., • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and issues., • Coordinate with other senior development leads to ensure aligned delivery., • Process & Quality, • Implement and improve development processes to ensure efficiency., • Oversee code reviews, testing, and deployment processes., • Proven experience in a Development Lead or Senior Developer role., • Strong technical background in:, • C#.NET, • Oracle & SQL, • RabbitMQ (or similar messaging technologies), • Experience managing small teams in a fast-paced environment., • Excellent communication skills, particularly in dealing with senior, non-technical stakeholders., • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments., • Familiarity with ITIL-based support and change processes., • Proactive and solutions-focused mindset., • Ability to balance technical depth with leadership duties., • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Supply Chain, based here at our Head Office in South Shields. As Supply Chain Coordinator, you will assist in the control and delivery of your category product range, to ensure finished goods are supplied from our international supply base to our worldwide distribution centres, to the agreed quantities, costs and timelines. Key responsibilities from this role will include: • Achieve “on time” delivery for product Purchase Orders., • Raise Purchase Orders, plan, monitor, re-prioritise and expedite., • Ensure the Business System data accurately reflects production plans and delivery schedules., • Liaise with factories and freight forwarders to arrange cost and time efficient shipping., • Ensure key samples are ordered and delivered on time Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensure Purchase Orders are raised accurately and in a timely manner., • Liaise with Technical and Quality Assurance Teams to highlight priorities and ensure key milestones within the critical path are met., • Monitor Purchase Order progress with regular Supplier meetings, including Factory visits., • Update & maintain Infor M3 (our Business System) to reflect accurate data from factory WIP reports and shipping documents., • Review the POBE to ensure key sales priorities are expedited with Suppliers & freight options are maximised., • Ensure Purchase Orders are delivered “on time”, optimising our Customer Order fulfilment., • Maintain PO plans to reflect true delivery position including capacity constraints, factory closures, holidays, transportation lead times etc., • Liaise with freight forwarders to review and approve bookings., • Manage the ordering and delivery of samples for seasonal launches Skills and Experience: • Ideally proven experience in garment and general procurement, • Experience of production planning, • Experience of working with international freight forwarders, • Proven experience of building strong working relationships and influencing key stakeholders to drive high category performance, • Ideally experience of working with an offshore supply base, • CIPS Diploma desired but not essential, • High level of numeracy skills, • Strong Excel skills with experience of creating formulas and pivot tables, • Competent level of IT packages: Microsoft Office, • Excellent communication skills, to build strong relationships internally and externally of the department., • High level of attention to detail - able to provide accurate information first time, • Time Management skills to enable effective prioritisation and decision making, • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment, • Doesn’t get phased when things go wrong, has the ability to “think on your feet” and problem solve, • Able to prioritise and organise own workload, • Ability to work independently within a small team, • Flexibility to be able to travel overseas if needed.
