The Company Our client is a leading multidisciplinary firm operating across rural, commercial and residential property, agriculture, and environmental sectors. They encourage staff development, with partners supporting active involvement in shaping the firm's future What You Will Be Doing • Managing multiple ongoing ecological projects across the East of England, • Designing and planning surveys, including protected species and habitat assessments, • Interacting directly with clients to deliver high-quality, tailored ecological advice, • Collaborating with in house teams and external consultants, • Producing technical reports, impact assessments, and biodiversity documentation, • Supporting, mentoring, and providing training for Assistant and Graduate Ecologists, • Contributing to work on habitat banking, landscape recovery, and biodiversity net gain initiatives, • Staying informed of changes in relevant legislation and industry best practices What You Need • Relevant degree or higher qualification in a related subject, • At least 3 years' experience in ecological consultancy, • Proven experience with:, • Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, • Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments, • Protected species surveys (e.g., badgers, reptiles), • Strong project management skills, • Ability to work independently and within a team, • Excellent technical report writing skills, • Working knowledge of UK and EU wildlife/environmental legislation and policy, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), • Willingness to travel for work assignments Desirable Skills & Qualifications • Specialised field survey experience (e.g., ornithology), • FISC Level 4 or above, • MoRPh accreditation, • Experience as an Ecological Clerk of Works, • GIS/QGIS proficiency, • Bat licence (level two or above), • CSCS card Benefits include • 25 days holiday (increasing to 28 days after 3 years), • Life assurance (4x salary), • Salary sacrifice pension scheme, • Enhanced family leave benefits (maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental), • Holiday buy back scheme, • Long service awards, • Westfield Health cash plan, • 1 charity volunteering day per year How to Apply If you are ready to take the next step in your ecology career and join a growing and forward thinking in house ecology team then get in touch and we can have a conversation. 📞 Rachel Richardson - 01780 480530 / 07701 387732 📧 💼 Or connect with me on LinkedIn No need for a polished CV, just send over what you have and we can take it from there.
