Commercial Lead Card Payments (Major Banking End Client) Contract: 6 months initially Day Rate: £500 per day via umbrella company (inside IR35) Location: Remote (UK-based only) Overview We are partnered with a major UK banking end client who are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead Card Payments to support a high-profile programme focused on driving commercial performance across their cards portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a market-leading payments function, shaping strategy, guiding product launches, and influencing stakeholders at the highest level. The Role You will play a key role in driving revenue growth across the clients card payments proposition, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Finance, BI/Analytics, Operations and senior leadership teams. Youll translate commercial insights into action, optimise product positioning, and own launch strategies to maximise engagement and performance. Key Responsibilities Revenue Ownership & Forecasting: Partner with Finance and key stakeholders to set, track and refine financial projections, identifying risks and opportunities early. Analytics-Driven Insights: Work with BI teams to analyse customer behaviour, segment audiences, and evaluate campaign performance, turning insights into actionable recommendations. Product Development Support: Use commercial and analytical insights to shape product roadmaps, improve positioning, and contribute to successful go-to-market strategies. Launch Strategy: Support and execute new feature launches across multiple channels, collaborating with sales and operations teams to deliver best-in-class experiments and initiatives. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively across the business, including regular communication with senior leadership teams. Competitor & Commercial Intelligence: Lead research and analysis to track market trends, benchmark performance, and influence strategic decision-making. What Were Looking For Strong commercial acumen, including experience driving commercial impact and working closely with finance teams. 7+ years experience in product, CRM, fintech or related fields, ideally within card payments or subscription-based products. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, test hypotheses and propose actionable plans. Proven experience delivering high-impact multi-channel GTM campaigns. Exceptional project management skills, able to manage multiple parallel launches in a fast-moving environment. A collaborative, creative communicator who can navigate ambiguity and influence stakeholders across an organisation.
