Role Title: Insurance Consultant – Lloyd’s & Specialty Markets BU/Segment: Insurance Consulting Location: London, United Kingdom (Flexible hybrid working) Employment Type: Permanent Summary of the role: We are seeking an Insurance Consultant with deep expertise in the Specialty and Lloyd’s insurance markets to play a pivotal role in leading and sustaining post-merger integration efforts. This role is central to ensuring the success of transformation and harmonisation initiatives — not just during integration, but as a long-term strategic partner driving operational excellence post-integration. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the specialty insurance landscape, including Lloyd’s, UK, and Bermuda markets, and have proven experience in post-merger integration (PMI), operating model alignment, and process optimisation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape integration strategies, oversee execution, and embed sustainable improvements across underwriting, operations, and governance functions. Post-integration, you will continue to serve as a key domain expert supporting optimisation, scaling, and digital transformation initiatives. As part of your duties, you will be responsible for: • Serve as the primary domain expert across the Insurance lifecycle, providing deep market and process insights within the Specialty and Lloyd’s markets., • Advise clients on target operating models, governance frameworks, and post-acquisition cultural alignment to ensure sustainable transformation., • Ability to lead or support post-merger integration and transformation workstreams within the insurance sector., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess integration readiness, define roadmaps, and execute implementation plans., • Conduct synergy and gap analyses across underwriting, claims, finance, operations, and compliance functions., • Advise clients on target operating models, governance frameworks, and post-acquisition cultural alignment., • Provide expertise in integrating specialty insurance portfolios, including cyber, credit, and political risk., • Drive process automation and improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and operational excellence., • Partner with senior executives to manage integration governance, track progress, and report on key milestones and risks., • Contribute to business development activities such as proposals, presentations, and thought leadership Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role: • 5–8 years’ consulting experience within the insurance sector, ideally from a top-tier consulting, advisory, or transformation firm., • Proven track record delivering Post-Merger Integration (PMI) or large-scale transformation projects within insurance., • Strong understanding of Lloyd’s and specialty markets, syndicate operations, and distribution models., • Experience supporting insurers with a presence across UK and Bermuda., • Demonstrated expertise in process automation, optimisation, and post-merger transformation., • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills., • Familiarity with data-driven and digital transformation within insurance., • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, PMP, or Prince2 preferred).
