Personal Assistant / Carer (Self-Employed or Willing to Register) Location: Treforest, Pontypridd Pay: £16.85 per hour (day shifts) | £101.10 per overnight shift (11pm–9am) Shifts: Split shifts (9am–2pm / 5pm–11pm) plus overnight blocks Driving licence required About the Role I’m a 37-year-old disabled man living independently in Treforest with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). I use a powered wheelchair and require ventilator support 24/7. I employ a small team of self-employed Personal Assistants who support me to live an active, social, and independent life. Support includes day-to-day care as well as accompanying me to social activities such as cinema trips, gigs, pubs, and events. I’m now looking for a reliable, easy-going, and trustworthy person to join my team. What I’m Looking For • Availability for split shifts (9am–2pm / 5pm–11pm) and overnight blocks (11pm–9am), • Flexibility to cover occasional weekday shifts when needed, • Comfortable supporting me in social settings (cinema, concerts, pubs, etc.), • Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, • Comfortable with personal care, hoisting, and manual handling, • £16.85 per hour for daytime split shifts, • £101.10 per overnight block (11pm–9am), • Paid every two weeks via invoice No previous experience is required. • Full training provided, • Ongoing support from experienced PAs, • Friendly, supportive, and down-to-earth team environment

The role will involve block staining and general painting duties using water-based paints across residential properties. Key Duties * Block staining on new build properties. * Painting and touching up walls, ceilings, doors and frames. * Working with water-based paints. * Ensuring high-quality finish across all areas. Requirements * Valid CSCS Card. * NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (preferred). * Full PPE. * Own tools. * Previous experience on new build housing developments.
