Bookkeeper / Management Accountant \n Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience \n Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) \n Role Overview \n An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice in Teesside. \n This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a varied client portfolio and delivering accurate, timely financial information. You will support a range of clients with bookkeeping, VAT compliance and management reporting, while working as part of a collaborative and professional team. \n Key Responsibilities \n The successful candidate will be responsible for: \n\n • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients.\n, • Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and journals.\n, • Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements.\n, • Preparing management accounts and periodic financial reports.\n, • Posting period-end adjustments, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.\n, • Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide financial information.\n, • Supporting wider accounting operations and client requirements.\n, • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.\n\n About You \n The successful candidate will have: \n\n • Previous experience in bookkeeping, ideally within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.\n, • AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or qualified by experience.\n, • Strong knowledge of VAT and Making Tax Digital requirements.\n, • Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting.\n, • Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.\n, • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.\n, • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.\n, • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise directly with clients.\n\n What's on Offer \n\n • Competitive salary, dependent on experience.\n, • Flexible working arrangements.\n, • Professional development and career progression opportunities.\n, • Supportive and collaborative working environment.\n, • Company pension scheme.\n, • Generous annual leave entitlement.\n, • Health and wellbeing benefits.\n, • Modern working environment with excellent facilities.\n\n This is an excellent opportunity for a Bookkeeper or Management Accountant looking to develop their career within a supportive accountancy practice while working with a diverse client portfolio. \n
