Kettering, Northamptonshire Monday to Friday, 8.00am 5.30pm Interaction Recruitment is working with a well-established organisation in Northamptonshire to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. This is a hands-on senior finance position with responsibility for financial control, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and the day-to-day management of a small finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, providing accurate financial information and commercial insight to support business decisions and ongoing development. Key responsibilities will include: • Producing accurate monthly management accounts and KPIs, • Preparing consolidated financial information, • Managing balance sheet controls and monthly reconciliations, • Managing cash flow and financial forecasting, • Preparing annual budgets and forecasts, • Overseeing VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and other regulatory submissions, • Managing banking and treasury activities, • Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and intercompany transactions, • Coordinating the annual audit process, • Providing financial reporting and analysis to senior management, • Managing, developing and mentoring a small finance team, • Reviewing and improving financial processes, systems and controls, • Supporting senior management with financial analysis and ad-hoc projects, • Ensuring financial and regulatory requirements are met accurately and on time You will be a qualified accountant with strong technical and commercial accounting experience and previous experience operating at Financial Controller level. Ideally, you will have: • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification, • Previous Financial Controller experience, • Experience working across multiple entities or business areas, • Experience within construction, contracting or a similar project-led environment, • Strong management accounts, budgeting and forecasting experience, • Experience with VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and audit, • Previous experience managing and developing a finance team, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Excellent commercial awareness, • Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to senior stakeholders, • Excellent Excel skills, • Experience using Sage 200, • A hands-on, organised and proactive approach, • Competitive salary, dependent on experience, • Private Medical Insurance, • Pension, • 24 days holiday + 8 statutory days, • Monday Friday, 8.00am 5.30pm, • Senior-level position with exposure to senior management, • Varied and commercially focused role, • Opportunity to contribute to process and business improvements, • Established and stable organisation #J-18808-Ljbffr
