A\nSnapshot of Your Day The\nBusiness Improvement Leader—Engineering is responsible for leading and managing\nprojects that focus on improving products and process performance to meet\ncustomer requirements while minimising defects and variability. This role\ninvolves applying advanced statistical and quality management techniques to\ndrive innovation, improve product design, and enhance organisational\nperformance. How\nYou’ll Make an Impact Project Leadership: • Led cross-functional teams in Six Sigma /\n DFSS projects from conception through implementation, ensuring alignment\n with business goals., • Define project scope, objectives, and\n deliverables, and develop detailed project plans., • Facilitate project meetings, ensuring\n effective communication and collaboration among team members.Application of Six Sigma / DFSS\n Methodologies:, • Utilise Six Sigma / DFSS methodologies to\n guide product and process improvement efforts., • Conduct Voice of the Customer analysis\n to gather and prioritise customer requirements., • Develop and implement design\n specifications, performance metrics, and validation plans.Data Analysis and Statistical Tools:, • Apply advanced statistical tools and\n techniques (e.g., Design of Experiments, regression analysis, hypothesis\n testing) to analyse data and inform design decisions., • Use software tools (e.g., Minitab) for\n data analysis and visualisation., • Interpret data and provide actionable\n insights to drive design improvements.Risk Management:, • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects\n Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential design risks and develop mitigation\n strategies., • Implement robust design practices to\n ensure reliability and performance under varying conditions., • Monitor and assess project risks\n throughout the project lifecycle.Collaboration and Training:, • Collaborate with engineering,\n manufacturing, project management, and other departments to ensure\n designs meet functional and market requirements., • Mentor and train Green Belts and team\n members in Six Sigma / DFSS principles and tools., • Foster a culture of continuous\n improvement and innovation within the organisation.Documentation and Reporting:, • Maintain comprehensive project\n documentation, including project charters, design specifications, and\n validation reports., • Prepare and present project updates and\n results to senior management and stakeholders., • Ensure compliance with industry\n standards and regulatory requirements in design processes.Continuous Improvement:, • Identify opportunities for process\n improvements and cost reductions through innovative design solutions., • Stay current with industry trends, best\n practices, and emerging technologies related to product design and\n quality management., • Lead initiatives to integrate Six Sigma\n / DFSS principles into the organisation’s quality management system. What\nYou Bring \n • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,\n Quality Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant\n certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, DFSS\n certification) is preferred.\n, • Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality\n management, product design, or process improvement, focusing on Six Sigma\n / DFSS methodologies.\n, • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis\n software (e.g., Minitab) and design tools (e.g., CAD software).\n, • Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, communication,\n and facilitation skills.\n, • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data\n sets and make data-driven decisions.\n, • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects and\n leading cross-functional teams.\n About the Team Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
