Solicitor – Employment Law – Bristol – PQE 2+ Location: Bristol (Hybrid, Fully Remote, or Flexible Working Options) Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 A well‑established national law firm is seeking a Solicitor or FCILEx lawyer with a strong interest in Employment Law to join its busy and supportive Employment team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload, contribute to both contentious and non‑contentious work, and develop your career within a collaborative environment that places a high value on flexibility and work–life balance. The Role You’ll be responsible for managing a caseload of employment matters, primarily for legal expense insurer clients, including: • Advising on potential Employment Tribunal claims, • Running Tribunal cases, including drafting pleadings and witness statements, • Negotiating settlements and advising on settlement agreements, • Instructing counsel or advocates where required, • Working in line with insurer service level agreements, • Supporting non‑contentious work such as drafting contracts, handbooks and employment documentation, • Providing reactive and proactive advice to commercial clients, including telephone advice, • Contributing to marketing initiatives, including legal updates and client training, • Progressing files using the firm’s case management system, • Managing billing and invoicing There may also be opportunities to supervise junior case handlers.
